With FFXIII coming somewhat soon, when do you think this franchise will give up, not that I want it to. How many fantasies will we endure before Square is like, that's it we quit. I think it will end at...20. Or maybe neverblank33As many as it takes. I am prety sure the next sony system will have one too.
If you consider all the iterations over all the consoles and handhelds we're well beyond 20.emitsu97
Yeah that's true. I was thinking more on the lines of just the chronological series (Versus too). By the time Square is done there will be at least 20 FF VII spin-offs,
[QUOTE="shihomi"]oh gosh ~ by the time 20 comes out ~ wht year will it be?
2020?

Wrong. 2030.
Quick Update: Square Enix just announced that FF 20 has been delayed by 10,000 years, though Japan gets it tomorrow.
I've been a FF fan since the snes days and haven't felt the anticipation for a new one since 9. I think they should make 13 the last one. They should tinker with different franchises and combat systems. FF has lost its luster, 11 & 12 did a great job of killing it for me.
Didn't the writer of FF leave Square-Enix and go with Mistwalker. I heard he wrote the FF's up to 16 and that was it. I guess we will see when 17 hits in 2030 and see how bad the story is.
I don't think story wise SE RPG's lately have been very good. I'm hoping Star Ocean doesn't fail.
As long as Square exists, Final Fantasy will neve be final.
That company is built around Final Fantasy. If one falls, the other falls.
Same as you for the anticipation, But I dont think 13 should be the Last. And i also think they should make some PS3 remakes of FFVI and FFVII with lots of new extras in them.
