What Will Be The Next PS3 Game To Earn A 10?

I think the next game to earn a 10 for the PS3 will be God of War 3. It's kind of sad because after MGS and God of War, there aren't any more game that I absolutely HAVE to have. Resistance 2 will be a good game, probably get a 8.7 or a 9, but I'm not DYING to play it.

Uncharted 2, Ratched and Clank 2 (For the PS3) are going to be awesome games, but I don't know if any of them will get 10's.

As far as non-exclusives go, I think Assassins Creed 2 may have a chance if they make a few simple adjustments from the last game.

And RE5 won't get a 10 because of the corny story. Capcom always has corny stories, especially in the RE series, so it will probably get around a 9.5. But of course, to me, it will be a 10....just like RE4 was in my opinion.

RE 5 is multiplat. I believe they mean PS3 only game.

i don't think such a game exists (i include all games that we know of). best chance is for FF13, but if the story is going to be mediocre (like ff12) i don't think the graphics and gameplay will save it. FF13v, if it's anything like kingdom hearts or HS, it'll score from the 8-9 range, as GS doesn't take games like that too seriouslly, which is probably the.

i don't see any SCE games getting 10's. GoW never got a 10 before, so why now? just becasue of the graphics? ridiculous. KZ2 is a shooter; unless it re-invents the genre it probably won't get a 10, even if it will get 10's in our books. Expecting a 10 from KZ is extreme optimism, something i don't possess. LBP... well i really can't say anything as it's a new IP, so you never know. Res2 will most likely range from 8-9.5. (i'm not a graphics whore, never was, but Res2 doesn't seem very sharp graphics-wise for a sequel imho)

Let's remember that i'm speaking only of Gamespot. I'm certain some games will get 10's (or the highest possible score) from other sites.

With that said i'm certain that a lot of these titles have AAA potential, and that most will deliver.

You know, I really think LittleBigPlanet has a great shot at getting a 10 ... not on this site but yes lots of others... From all the previews I've read, none of them can make up a bad thing about the game and if it lives up to expectations, it's going to be the most revolutionary game this gen (of xbox 360 and ps3 of course, don't count wii in because yeah, if you're narrowminded, everything on that system is revolutionary)... And then I don't see God of War 3 getting 10's, hack 'n slash games never got such high scores. And if they just brought eight days back, it could have gotten a 10, the trailer was like the best trailer ever (in my opinion, accept for that one of CoD4)

My other bets are that unnanounced game which that BBC-journalist spoke of, that it was something never done or seen before, i would love to know more about that one... And maybe Heavy Rain. On 360 I see Alan Wake (if it ever comes out) as a 10.

the last game before MGS4/GTA4 was THPS3 - which was released YEARS ago. These 2 games have had amazing prequels AND had sequels which still did well, so it was expected that the future sequels (in this case, GTA4/MGS4) would do well - which they did and beyond.

on the other hand, you have resistance - which did ok, God of War - which are well liked, but if it's the same rehashed gameplay (not that it won't be good) - it won't get more points just because it's the same thing again, regardless of enjoyability.

anyway, my point is - MGS4/GTA4 are the last in the 10s for a while, IMO.

Well, since GTA was the first 10 in 10 years on GS, chances are that there wont be any other 10s on the ps3, the ps2 didnt even have one 10.goleafsguy

never got high scores what? the GOW series always got high 9's who knows GOW3 might pull of a metal gear as MGS games were 8.5, 9.6, and 8.7 so a 10 is a very big leap so GOW3 does have such a chance as the story music and sound is also always great and the game play is what really sets GOW apart from all the other hack and slash games if they change the game play up even better than the already revolutionary system then it has a very good chance at a 10

I believe this too. However, the Dialogue is very corny. Go back and watch the RE4 review on Gamespot and they will tell you that it's one of the only things they found wrong with the game.

One of the greatest stories ever? Seriously? Man, claiming to play the RE games for the stories is like watching Godzilla movies for the highly cerebral storyline ( :lol: ) rather than just seeing monsters kick the crap out of each other. The terrible diologue, writing and plot holes don't exactly help.

I think it'll get a perfect score, it already looks beautiful, and Ubisoft has learned their mistakes from Assassin's Creed, and probably proceeded to make both Prince of Persia and Assassin's Creed 2 better games.
