I'm thinking GTA because with MGS series, you either love it or hate it. Although the controls and gameplay have been drastically updated, I don't think it's enough to draw a bunch of people from the "hate it" group. On the other hand, pretty much everyone likes GTA lol.
GTA4, but i think MGS4 would be more successfull by selling longer then GTA4 since most people just play the game constantly in a month then get sick of the game, wait some months and bring it from the dust again out of boredom, instead of still finding new unexplored stuff in MGS.
Well about that i said about MGS was concerning me atleast....
I am really not to sure. I'm leaning towards GTA because so many people love that game...while I don't even see what the fascination is. I don't like it. However, so many people who never heard of MGS or never played are going to pick it up so it could be a close call
GTA4, sadly. Wish more people liked amazing storylines and not the same old with upgraded graphics and more features added to each game. Every MGS game has been a bit different than the one before it. I still love GTA tho
In the end, GTA IV gets it, because of it's fanbase and it's multiplatform install base. I do believe however that MGS4 will sell more in it's first day than any other MGS game in history, plus create more PS3 users (maybe in the millions too). Then after that, GTA IV will sell alot more PS3 versions for the newcomers. My opinion. :)
