i remember with the DS there were some brands that were better than others, although in this case one does not have to worry about how good the stylus screen works.

anyhow, in general, is there a synonymous best brand? one that is the easiest to position, looks the best (or is the most unoticeable i guess), and leaves no residue/ is easy to remove?

The Hori protector is the way to go. I put it on my PSP when I first got it and never took it off for the year or so that I had it. My friends never even noticed it.

He took the words right out of my mouth. Hori all the way. Just make sure its applied correctly the first time.

I bought a hori protector for my DS, where it was much more of an issue for considering it had to cooperate well with the touch screen. but i recall it not cooperating well when i decided to peel it off, leaving a sticky surface behind.

That and i'd want to know why you think the hori is better over another screen protector, since it isnt sold stateside and would have to be imported.

i disagree, ease of putting on and taking off, residue, and noticeability are very impotrant, they are after all the main reasons one might stray away from them.

if you look on ebay, they have them for us in the US. If your like me and don't have a paypal account, then you'll pay maybe double like 6-7 dollars, but you can use a money order and buy in the US

I got one for PSP Slim and phat. Pictured in the top right corner. Its a playable hard case. You dont have to keep buying those flimsy plastic screen protectors. Protects the PSP screen very well. And it doesnt make it that much bigger.

Neh, i'm not intrersted in a hardcase, they are just bulky.

Again, for those that think Hori is the best (meaning you beleive it's worth the convenient of purchasing an import screen protector despite the avilability of others nearby) say why, have you ever tried taking it off? was the screen sticky and impossible to whipe after? have you used other brands that didnt work as well?

I havent tried any other brand. The Hori brand one I use has no air bubbles (I barely had to do anything when putting it on to prevent air bubbles), you cant even tell that it is on the psp because there is no tint, blurriness, ect. to it, it does not leave a residue and is easily removed and can be replaced. I have a hard time putting screen protectors on in a straight line ^_^ I had to lift it off multiple times to get it where I wanted it. It was easy to do, no residue was left on my PSP and it was still able to fit perfectly on the PSP even though I removed it a few times. If you want to get one, I suggest buying from ebay. You can get them for $5-6 dollars.

I have reservations about Hori (and press for further clarification about why people think it's the "best") because i did go through the trouble of importing a set for my DS Lite and i was not wowed by it. In the end i changed my mind and decided to take the risk without one (while the DS uses the stylus, at least it folds closed when one is done it), but i do recall being somewhat displeased when i peeled it off, remember that upon trying to whipe the screen clean it was very stick and sort of "unwipable", this bothered me a bit.

I even felt a similar dissapointment when i bought their recent case for my PSP....in this case i was very pleased with their very similar looking DS Lite designed compact pouch, but their PSP version seemed flimsy and cheaper despite it practically looking like the same case.
