In my opinion, yes. I'm not really into strategy/tactical games, so I really didn't enjoy it. Just the fact that the only thing you can do is move a circle throughout a map to tell your team where to go is not very exciting. Whereas in socom ftb2, you can control your own character however you want. You can do missions using stealth or you can just rampage your way through a mission. Socom ftb2 also has a non-linear mission select, so you don't have to do missions in any specific order. It also has a decent amount of replay value. after you finish a campaign mission, you can go back again and do a dynamic missions with differen objectives. Although online is in my opinion the best part of this game, the single player is decent and well built.
Well ftb2 is a good game, not quite as good as the syphon filter series but dtill a decent game, but i think tactical strike is a fantastic stratagy warfare game. You take coontrol of two teams of 2 and issue a wide array of different moves to accomplish the directives, you are able to have alot of control over the teams like issueing commands to one team but asking them to not act until the mark is given then command the second half of the team to act then on the mark watch as both teams move out to take out a ememy or maybe breach and clear a area. It is very satisfying when your hard thought out plans go well and given the very tense situations where one wrong move may take out your team is imo far from boring. You can do the usual things like unlocking weapons, items etc as well as add loads of stat improvments to each team member. The graphics are better than ftb2 and is definatly one of my top ten games. the question you need to ask yourself is.......do i want another 3rd person shooter or do i want a strategic realtime modern warfare game.
