Iwas wondering what everyone else thought about the PSP and DS. Because i've had a DS since the launch, but i got a PSP a couple of months back because of a shortage of decent DS games. what does everyone ellse think about the two? PSP has more games, but the DS is completely unique. when i get Zelda Phantom Hourglass for DS it wont be so bad, but PSP seem to have all the best games.

This is going to end up being locked, but they're both great handhelds. So it's 50/50 with me.

Before everyone starts saying"DS is goood for games, but PSP can do more stuff" I think the games on PSP are way better! And I can do way more stuff, I'm going to liverpool today and have decided I want to watch some youtube videos on the way, so all I have to do Is get my software aout and in about 10 mins I've got a stash on. I also decided I wanted to play some of my music, so I just got some off frost wire and put it all on. And now I'm going to get a walkthrough guide for Daxter and convert it into JPG(ok, I know, very noobish of me, but I always get stuck on it!) and I can then go on it on my PSP. And that's not to mention the internet. Honestlly, the PSP is way better, your just paying for a DS and it's web browser(which I would like to make clear, I can not get to work with my router, but PSP works like a charm), that's no music, no wide screen, no youtube movies, no DVD's and no games which have nice graphcics(god, am I a noob?:P) and way longer than DS games. And before people start saying PSP fanboy:
1. I'm a girl

2. I have had the DS since launch and I do think it is a very good console, BUT it's no where near as good as a PSP. The PSP will always comen out on top, but if you can manage to get both, then get both.

EMZ:)

This really belongs in System Wars...but since it's not...both handhelds have their strengths and weaknesses. If you're looking for an handheld that offers up different gaming experiences, the DS is the way to go. If you want to have a console you can take with you, the PSP can't be beat. I got a PSP recently, and have had a DS for quite some time, and if I had to choose only one, it would be the DS for me.

It's all a matter of personal opinion, but for me, I prefer the PSP, just because of the many different things it can do, not to mention the console-quality and length of its games. I've blown through so many DS games in so little time that I've gotten tired of using it for gaming, and it doesn't have much else going for it (I couldn't care less about having a web browser, I've got a pocket pc for that). Although the games on DS may be better in the originality and gameplay department (as opposed to the PSP which really just gives you console games on the go for the most part--not that that's a bad thing),when I don't feel like gaming, the PSP can entertain me in other ways. Movies and music (ripped to the memory stick), photo slide shows, download RSS feeds...there's just more you can do with it.

But that doesn't mean the DS is a bad system--not at all. I love Nintendo. I'm dying to play Phantom Hourglass and the forthcoming FFIV remake. But I can't play games at work...I can listen to music and watch movies at work though. Can't do that with a DS (at least not without expensive add-ons) and even then, the big beautiful PSP screen makes a huge difference too.

Well i dont have a PSP but from what i played from my friends and on my brothers one i would say the PSP. graphisc are way better. games have more challenge and theres way more to do. The DS got boring for me real quick. I cant wait until november 1st so i can get my own psp :).
