Out of shear curiosity I want want too know what you, the puplic, think is the best version of the play station ps3. Feel free to express your opinion on which system is the best, but by all means don't a an *** about it. No one likes an ***. Note, It is also important to try and validate your opinions to let me and others know you know what your talking about. Cast your votes wisely.....

Well for me it's the fat one since my PS2 broke and I play PS2 games frequently.

slip? Is that what people are calling it nowadays? I still have my non-backwards compatible 80 gig in perfect condition for a year and a half.

In terms of overall features. The original 60 gig PS3 it had

  1. Card reader
  2. 4 usb slots
  3. B/C

But in terms of what you should get now? I suggest the PS3 slim

Without backward compatibility, I would have simply skipped over the ps3 this generation. The only thing I envy about the slim though, is how much cooler it should run. My 60 gig turns my room into a sauna. Even my 360 runs much cooler.

The original that I brought 2 years ago is fine where it is, and I don't think theres no need for a slim

The old 60gb model is the best followed by the old 80gb. both have BC, Card readers and 4 usb slots. at this point though it'd be better to just get a new ps3 slim over a used model if you haven't bought a ps3 already.

The old "fat" one. It has more things that the slim doesn't. Some models have backwards compatibility, you can actually install another operating system (I have Linux installed on my other Playstation 3), and so on. Plus, I myself am not after thinness. I never take my Playstation 3 anywhere so it's not practical for me.

i had the launch 80 gig b/c 4 usb slots card readers. i loved it but it got stolen after only 3 days

i have a slip now and were doin just fine. b/c would be nice and so would the card slots but a bigger hdd and MUCH cooler running console that isnt a fingerprint/dust magnet is just lovely with me.

In termini di caratteristiche generali. L'originale 60 PS3 concerto era Card reader 4 slot USB B / C

ma in termini di ciò che si dovrebbe arrivare adesso? Suggerisco la PS3 slim [/ QUOTE] 60 GB with card reader is original and full

Actually the slim looks and feels much better built than the original. I doesnt even look close to being ugly or cheap looking..

I'm not sure how effective this poll will be. Most people will vote even though they've never owned both versions. I bought a BC Fat PS3 three months after launch. It was faulty, got a refurb from Sony, that was faulty too, took the refurb to the store I purchased my original PS3 and got a brand new BC 60GB, the BD drive failed after 4 months of light use, got another refurb from Sony, BD drive failed after 18 months of light use.

Since my warranty had expired Sony wanted me to pay them £120 to get another refurb. I told them to ram it. I bought a Slim instead. I like the Slim much more than the Fat, even though it doesn't play PS2 games. I've still got my PS2 from last gen if I want to play any PS2 games, which is hardly ever.

I had a terrible time with the BC PS3's. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. I really like the Slim. I'd recommend the Slim to new buyers.

The only reason I'd own the old 60GB model is for BC... but since I have a PS2 anyways, no need for it. Slim is better otherwise.

i would say the 60 gig. but mine broke in just over 2 years. so i gotta vote for slim. and if my slim breaks when i get one. it might make me just skip ps4. 800 bucks worth of dead consoles will be to much to handle.

I have a fat non bc, and a slim. I like the slim better. Just as quiet, better sound, the all black plastic on the slim, looks less obtrusive over the fat's black and chrome.
