Thanks Amnesiac - I needed a recommendation too. I still have a PSP 1000 as I refuse to get the new ones, they're awful. Several work friends have them and although they're slimmer and lighter than mine, the build quality of the 2000 and 3000 systems suck - specifically, the UMD disc door. It feels very flimsy and cheap with it's pop open system. The proper release and catch on my 1000 model is miles better and I think the extra weight of the system makes it feel more expensive, so I prefer it. I also find the glossy finish of the newer ones make the system slippery and slimy to hold after a while. The matte finish of mine is so much better.... I know the 2000 and 3000 had extra features like the mic and stuff built in, but overall I think the new iterations took the PSP downhill.
Now I can get a decent headset to go with it - cheers again for the recommendation. I suppose it makes sense to stick with the official stuff...
[QUOTE="Amnesiac23"]Get the official sony brand. In my opinion non of the off brands are nearly as good and generally break pretty easy.eyd25
Will I be able to hear clearly in flights?
how could you use a headset on a plan? >_> Or you talking about the listening one.. not the online one? Im confused.[QUOTE="eyd25"][QUOTE="Amnesiac23"]Get the official sony brand. In my opinion non of the off brands are nearly as good and generally break pretty easy.Darkenmal

I agree with your statement, minus the lousy D-pad of the 1000 series. As for a headset, I just picked up a pair of Sony Headphones from Target (Best Buy sells the same pair) for $19.99, and they are padded and all. They do the job quite well, and the input jack isn't obnoxious like the jack on earbuds. Straight rather than curved. Please Log In to post.
