For shooters I'd say COD or Resistance.

Resistance 2, Warhawk and COD 4/5. For non-shooters, Motorstorm PR is pretty good too.

Socom Confrontation has the best online gameplay. But the community can really suck at times. The call of duty games also has fun online.

Resistance 2 has fantastic online and is without a doubt my favorite PS3 game right now, but once Killzone 2 comes out it's sure to take its place.

Well the community is always solid in SOCOM for me. Everyone has a mic, but sometimes, they get too serious and into the game. Quite unfortunate the game had to be marred with technical issues, though I still enjoy it.

Resistance 2 without any hint of a doubt. It has just about everything you want. LBP is good also, just not a shooter. :D
