The Darkness is a really great game, it got an 8.5 here on gamespot:

It's really unlike most games I've played.
Yea i was playing fatal frame on the ps3 , scariest game i ever played, i almost pissed myself lolrealistic44
Well, chasing ghosts armed with only a camera is pretty unnerving after all :D
I was able to get through Fatal Frame. But the beginning cutscence where one of the twin felt a hand on her shoulder immediately followed by seeing her sister walking passed her unnerved me so much. That controller shack as the realization shocked her got me to turn the game off. Still can't bring myself to play that game since :(Lol. People following my own heart.
I was going to say Fatal Frame 2. :)
Neptunesdragon
Doom 3 for the PC. All the other games still make night as if there was light. During night, there is no light, you wont be able to see half a meter ahead of you. kenshinhimura16I take it u never walked at night.... there's enough light for you to make out the environment unless it's cloudy.

Then you should get Crimson Butterfly, it *totally* won't scare you. Muhahahahahahaaha...doing evil can be fun.
The Clock Tower series is spine chilling.
Silent Hill is also scareadelic.
Fatal Frame is nightmareific.

I was describing the opening part of Crimson Butterfly hehe. Fatal Frame for some reason I was able to get pass. BTW I have all three, and I wanted to finish 2 before opening the final game. Not quite sure how to solve that dilemma yet.Whats the kind of game that makes you **** your pants lol, it can be coming out, or available right now, whats the scariest game to buy? realistic44
The Darkness was AMAZING. Literally, an 15/10. The story had me friggin cry. Its as good (though not as deep) as say MGS. Its not very scary, but it kicks so much a**!!!!!!!!!!!

As per III, it's scarier than CB, The Tormented has some incredibly "uncomfortable" scenes...
[QUOTE="realistic44"]How about the new silent hill? 8)Andrew_Xavier
Who knows? The Room was just awful, hopefully it was just a small error of judgement, and the new one will be awesome.
BTW, I always considered Silent Hill second rate, compared to Fatal Frame, I think the new Fatal Frame will be scarier :)
I didn't think The Room was that bad - just not on the level ofthe previous SH games. My personal horror survival favorite of all time is Silent Hill 2.
Resistance? are you kidding me? seriously are you kidding me? i mean that's an action game there is nothing scary about it, except maybe when those ugly pale muthaf*ckers pop out and start sucking ur blood or something, thats about it, thats the only scary part. but i played the condemned demo and i really like it, it was creepy but in a good way and it had a great story from the looks of it and it had that pure 1st person view point, you know like when the camera shakes when u sprint and the camera jumps everywhere and it blurs, sort of like Cloverfield. and i absolutely loved the atmosphere, it was so dark, dirty and creepy. amazing game :D
5 good scary games and series.. in no particular order..
5 Condemned and Condemned 2
4 Resident Evil.. particularly 2(back in the day) and 4
3 Fear.. although its more of a mind f*cK than scary...
2 Doom 3 i dare you to play it in the dark
1 And for lack of anymore games. i'll go with a consensus of scary games.. silent hill series, fatal frame, hopefully the new alone in the dark, and this really old game for Sega Saturn called D.. check out some of the youtube vids for it.. back when i was like 12/13.. it was really scary..
I have to go with F.E.A.R. on PC. The first time you play it alone at night with good headphones on.. yeah.. :)
My all time favorites, Resident Evil 2 and Silent Hill 2.
And I also consider both of those games to be outstanding with new releases. I was always leaning towards Silent Hill series since I enjoy it a little more.

I agree. The Darkness was one of my favorite games ever.
First of my pants are never soiled, lol.
The very first Resident Evil got me when you were first introduced by the Hunter. The game switched to first person view and it came running into the mansion. Then it walked slowly to proceed to cut my head off. Earlier in the game, when the dogs broke through the window to attack, that caught me good too. That's when I put my controller down and walked away for 2 minutes. Lol.
It's been years since I jumped in any game but Condemned 2 made me jump a couple of times. I was shocked. The game is that good. Great melee combat, great forensic system, decent story and decent graphics. It has excellent sound. Condemned 2 is hands down the most scariest game to date.

Uhm no actually at night unless its full moon, you wont see far ahead. Of course that if you are close to a city you may have light or if the moon is really bright.
