thanks in advance.

Well, I haven't seen any around my place but they should be coming soon. They work like the Xbox LIVE Points cards and the Wii Points cards so it'll be easy to use.

The only ones I have seen are the ones for USA. Since the currency of the PSN is based on the local region currency, then you should just have to get one for US dollars. Unless the PSN in Canadia uses canadian dollars, idk.

No one knows. I heard Korea or Japan had them but not here. I also heard that the problem could be they're using real money whereas the 360 and Wii use points.

I was hoping that as well, but last time I checked at my local Sony store they said that the cards would come here in Canada early this year. I live in Montreal BTW. Anyway I'll be heading there soon so if I get a positive answer i'll check back with you.

Well, you use them so you dont have to put in your credit card info if you don't want to, as to where to look for them. Just look around any stores gift-card section and what-not, as if you were looking for Market Place point cards.

So get a pre-paid Visa or Mastercard with the amount you want to spend on the Playstation store. Then you can buy online and not risk your credit card number.

Don't get prepaid credit cards because you have to pay $5 or $6 extra to activate it. I'd just wait if I were you. I want PSN cards really badly since I don't have a credit card.

Pre-paid credit cards are expensive and near impossible to find in Canada, it's not like the USA where you can buy one at walmart or something, you have to like, apply for one online, and give a certain amount of money, usually $100 min to get one, then you have to keep a huge balance on em, usually $100 still, they are honesty useless creatures here, used entirely by older folks who decleared bankruptcy to rebuild credit, or you used to be able to get these much music pre-paid cards, but, the government stopped them from being allowed to accept any new members, because they were charging MASSIVE hidden fees to keep them, basically, you'd lose $20 of every $100 placed on the card...see for yourself, go to muchmusic.ca and click the apply for a prepaid card link, says they cannot issue them anymore. They aren't out in the USA, though random ones have been found in odd places, like an army base in maryland for some reason, you can buy the rare ones on ebay for triple their face value...lord knows why...

Yes, but what I think he means by Pre-Paid Credit Cards are the Visa and Mastercard GIFT cards, because I use those, and while they have a $5-6 activation fee and they take a dollar off to put the card on the account, it's the best alternative to putting on a full credit card.

So those Mastercard Gift Cards work on the Playstation Network in Canada? I haven't bought one yet because i'm afraid it won't work over the internet.

Meh, I just use my credit card.
Only bad thing is that I end up buying way too much PSN games and useless DLC.
