I have just installed a 250G hardrive in my PS3...Works beautifully.Lou_Menace
Quick Question, what model/brand is your HHD?
I'm still on my original 60gb hard drive.
I don't expect to upgrade for a while, as I still have lots of space left, even with Oblivion and Devil May Cry requiring large installs, not to mention other game installs, music, demos, trailers, themes, pics, and more.

I'm with you. I still have my original 60gb and probably will not be changing my hard drive at all.
I'll probably be getting a 500 GB external pretty soon, my music, videos pictures and all those infernal installations that capcom games keep forcing on me are taking up nearly all of my 60 GB.
I'm not good with technology hence why I'm not sure about refitting the internal one...

You do know that game installations ONLY take place in the internal harddrive. The external harddrive is only use for storing musics, videos, photos, and etc..

Likewise. I have like 20 themes and about 2 gigs of music on mine. And I'll still have enough for the install space for the games I intend to get as well.
Do you plan on keeping your PS3 for quite some time? You may need to rethink that later on the next few years....[QUOTE="duane27"]I have a 80gb and that is all I ever will get. dont need anything more then that.feryl06
You'll never need a bigger hard drive then that. Unless you plan on keeping a ton of games on it. I don't do that so I dont have much to worry about. And I have a pc for music of movies.

Same here I don't even use that much space,I keeping the one I have already ya dig....320gb. Works beautifully, and is about as fast as a 7200rpm drive due to aerial density. Hardly ever even see the now loading bar in Oblivion.mbrockway
I wimped out. I only installed a 250 gig, for fear of the 7200 rpm would mess it up. Now it's never coming back out. Thanks a lot screws of butter.
