is it different then CoD5?coz CoD5 doesnt have anything of what you said :D LOL i hate cod5Well CoD Modern Warfare is the most realistic FPS that I've played yet. In terms of gameplay, weaponhandling, body movement (when being shot orwhen running)and weapons of course.

Americas army! COD does not even have recoil that would qualify as the least realistic FPS. I love it but it's an arcade game.

is it different then CoD5?coz CoD5 doesnt have anything of what you said :D LOL i hate cod5 :) well it is different of course in many ways but CoD5 has it's moments. I for one love to call in the rabid dogs and follow them to kill campers or explode in pieces the enemy and the ones beside him with my sticky bomb.Killzone 2 is pretty realistic, as the aiming (before the update) is very heavy and difficult to control
Who here even has the right to make that assumption?
Anyone of you been in the real war? If not, what you say means nothing ..
I'll put in a vote for Rainbow 6 Vegas 1 and 2. No runnin and gunnin. On realistic level you don't get much radar range and very few shots will kill you.
I get the privilege of playing on occasion with a guy who did 3 tours in Nam and fought in the first and second Gulf wars. His opinion is that the Marine missions in COD4 have the most realistic "feel". He says the developers did a good job of capturing the sense of chaos and confusion that firefights tend to have. But he is also a fan of the Rainbow 6 games because they require you to think, plan and attack as a team, not just run forward spraying and praying. He also thinks, and I agree, that the AI in Rainbow is very realistic.........other than the stupid crap the terrorists say over and over and over and over.......
Just for the record, I am talking about the single player and coop modes of these games, not the multi-player modes.
Not putting down anyone elses opinion here (or stating that none of you has a qualified opinion like a certain canadian), just stating mine.
Actually... it's really not even close to realistic.Well CoD Modern Warfare is the most realistic FPS that I've played yet. In terms of gameplay, weaponhandling, body movement (when being shot orwhen running)and weapons of course.

I would say out of games currently released on the PS3, Killzone 2 has the most realistic feel to the recoil, aiming, movement, and even atmopshere. raven_squadI agree with this. And to those who said COD4, will you please tell me how often a soldier gets dressed out in full gear, runs 20 mph, and shoot ak47s with no recoil. :P
While CoD4 is a great deal of fun, it is in no way realistic. Try swinging a real gun around and then tell me it's realistic.

That's true. When everybody in "da forumz" started to cry about "not been able to turn fast enough (cod4 style) or shoot fast enough (cod4 style), i said "wha? You're holding a very large and heavy piece of metal, remember?" And then the patch happened and KZ2 was nearly turned to yet another arcade-type-fps. I wish they would bring an option for the old "heavy" control-style, it was most realistic. Cod4 was a great game, but it was like the guns where heavy as a feather; even BLACK on Ps2 had controls that felt more realistic than that.
Anyway, IMO the most realistic FPS shooting is in a. Armed assault (though the game is close to unplayable) and b. Op. Flashpoint (though the game is Ultra Hard when played right).
PS. One of the most realistic gunfights i have experienced in a vgame was strangely not in a FPS though, but in Getaway (1) for PS2, mainly the ones in closed quarters.
How is Killzone 2 even close to realistic? It takes how many shots to take someone down..or building a robot inside 5 seconds? Maybe the reactions in the single player could be close to realistic but unless real changes in the future, the only real thing killzone has is its graphics. I hear people say "it feels real" or "feels heavy"as if you have any experience with the futuristic weapons they use. Thats like saying Star Wars is unreal because the lightsabres are way too light. For heavy guns and armor, they sure do sprint a long time with them but aim and turn them slowly. That would be cool if spawning into smoke plays out for us later in life though.Killzone 2 is pretty realistic, as the aiming (before the update) is very heavy and difficult to control

I'm going to say CoD, even the modern and prior of the series base a lot of their weapons from real wars and real battles.Sure some of it is unreal, like laying a bouncing betty on metal, but thats why its a game. What else though, recoil is bad in CoD?...not really, here's a real person shooting an AK and it doesn't have a ton of re-coil.

Here are some more using different guns, and soldiers running with them (pretty quickly I'd have to say).

Limbs come off and various ways to kill are used, from attack dogs to mortar strikes.People go down when they are hit with a few shots from any gun. There are a ton being used, unlike the handful KZ uses, and they are customizable and I'm just touching onMW and world at war.I think realistic is what the developers shoot for everytime they make a series of CoD so they win in my book vs a fantasy shooter that looks good.
I know i'll get grief for saying it, but SOCOM: Confrontation is realistic as far as the weapons and the way they react goes. The gameplay isn't great, but the weapons are right on. Except for the FAMAS. mjholley930That doesn't even qualify sinces its not even a FPS. But i would say Killzone 2 feels realistic, and Modern Warfare also felt realistic becaue of the plots it put you in and how it put you in them.
If you get past the fact that you're fighting a space aged war on another planet, the physics of Killzone 2 seem logical.

Actually... it's really not even close to realistic. Where I l,ve it is obligatory to do military service. And during that time (which took 16 months for me) I had the time to carry / fire / clean / break into pieces a G3 (with and without night vision), an AK47, an M16, an MP5, a Thompson, an MG3, a Canas (russian sniper rifle), a browning, RPG7, LAW, so I know what recoil and real feel of the weapon is. And believe me that CoD modern Warfare is the most realistic game out there. The only thing that is not real is that the G3 is a semi-automatic rifle, which you can shoot a little bit slower than an M4 Carbine. Please Log In to post.
