None and all. Sony consoles have never had an strong pillar. Its the combination of factors that makes it what it is. If you check a group of gamers you will find diffrent answer, some related and some not. PS is made out of a group, a "team" to name it.
wel.. like it says above many games make up a console... thts wht makes sony different from microsoft.... ms on the other hand has lasted this long due to a few exclusives... if i had to pick a game... i would hve to pick killzone2 from wht ive seen so far tht is 1 game tht could allow the ps3 to take a step forward...
Sony doesn't need a single game that will make or break them. They have always had such a huge install base because of one simple fact, they make and go after games for everybody. Depending on games like Halo or Gears will ensure your place as niche market provider

He wouldnt be the end boss. The banned humancloning because if 2 chuck norris' gave each other a roundhouse kick at the same time, the energy released would be enough to destroy the universe

to me sony doesnt need that one game..its been a variety of games that helped sony become successful. when you think of M$, you think of halo. Ninty with mario. with sony you cant think of just one its variety

think of The Darkness's human heart eating mechanic mixed with oblivions free roaming, vast open world, and some crazy hand to hand combat with human head crushing finishing moves courtesy of round house kicks of course.
I believe that it is way too early to make a call like this. Don't get me wrong, I am excited for the upcoming line up. However, I believe that we won't see a game that gives sony the throne until a few years from now when developers stop merely scratching the surface and find out what the ps3 is really capable of.
