today im getting a 160gb hd ps3 via trade of wii, monitor and hddvd player. I cant possibly think what could fill up 160gb of space on a ps3.
what i do know is that you download games onto the drive but what else do u use the space for?

Well among the obvious are:
Music
Photos
Videos
Downloadable Content
PSN Games (Yay Fat Princess)
And most PS3 games will install themselves onto your hard drive to reduce load times throughout the game, as well as take the strain off the disk drive while playing.... Unless you're hardcore into all those things you won't really have to worry about filling up your hard drive especially a 160... Congrats on the purchase, what games are you looking into getting?
You mean installing or selling of the drive? Because installing is easy as pie.im getting a 500gig hard drive, all i need to do now is find a shop that does them :(

[QUOTE="xmitchconnorx"]I have a 320gb hard drive. I've used about 100gb of it thus far. It's mainly filled with game installs and alot of movies and tv shows that i used to keep on my pc.alejoliecool, ive got lots of music on my comp, how do u transfer all the music? I used a external hard drive. I copied what i wanted to the drive then plugged it into the ps3 then copied again.

It's very easy, the only thing you have to do is make sure that the external drive is formatted correctly so the ps3 will recognize it. If it's not you can reformat it which is also easy to do, there's simple instructions to do so online.[QUOTE="xmitchconnorx"][QUOTE="alejolie"] cool, ive got lots of music on my comp, how do u transfer all the music?alejolie
I have already filled up more than that on my 500gb ps3s. It's called PSN games, mandatory 2-4gb installs on every game you buy, music for playlists to play while in games, videos-game trailers, Yellow Dog Linux 6.1 that uses 12gb and is free to install and makes you PS3 able to play PC games and play online games like yahoo games, themes that are free to DL via the web browser and can be created on your PC via PS3 theme creator and paint.net for free. I have done all of these things and my PS3s would put any 360 to utter shame. Trust me if you know everything that can be done on a PS3 you can use up massive space.
