i got a 20 gig ps3 and is connected online by ethernet...my question is whats with that saying 24/7 online? i dont get that feature cuz it doesnt even dl the updates automatically or anything else...can anybody be specific about what that feature does???

Its used because at anytime you can see what games your friends are playing and you can send messages back and forth. And the web browser/online manual and getting CD track names.
