What's with the Killzone 2 hype?

No, I'm not starting a hype thread. I'm actually wondering why people are hyping up this game? I did some research but can't pinpoint to what would incline someone to go gah-gah over this game. I mean we're already filled with FPS war games, what's this one bringing to the table? We already have Bad Company, CoD4, Resistance, and Socom is on the way. Is it because it's an exclusive? Enlighten me, I'm open to reasoning.

I don't think it's crap but its fun def. runs out eventually. It lacks that extra layer of depth that's stopping me from constantly going back.

Graphics look nice, detailing and shooting looks fun; that's all what matters in the end. The trailer from, '05 was it?, baffled everyone, so now the game is getting hyped up cause it follows the hype of the trailer quite well with its gameplay shots. PureDante

Oh alright then, thanks. It all seems good and well and if this game pulls off triple A status then I'll probably consider getting it but I don't want a bunch of war games flooding up my library for now.

Killzone was good, so I expect Killzone 2 to be better. However, my opinion borders 50/50. It might still be a flop.

Sure Killzone had some flaws, but the way you climb ladders and your vision moves like you are actually climbing, is something that most shooters don't take into consideration. So I want to see whether Killzone 2 will reassess the "empty spaces" in Killzone and make it better.

The graphics look great as you can tell. I'm hoping the game brings bigger maps than what call of duty 4 has, more guns, and more interesting things to do in fps games. I guess if you don't like fps games you don't like them. odin2019

It's not that I dislike FPS games. I think it's almost impossible this gen lol. It's just that there are so many war games coming out that I'm trying to filter the ones that are worth buying from the ones that just blend in to one another. One thing that makes a game worth buying is being unique and bringing something new to the table rather than just being bigger and prettier than the other game.

do fps always have to be unique?

look at call of dutty 4,it really brought nothing new to the table,but its was fun anyway

theres only 3 major things you look for in an fps, guns, graphics and gore. the generic fps fan only goes for that sort of stuff. usually thrird person shooters and other types of games have better storylines for some reason.... dont ask me why, seriously name more than 10 fps with GOOD storylines.

and also yeah, hyped games usually do disappoint, look at Halo 3 AHA but i have hope for kz2 tho, seriously look at the screenshots and gameplay trailers! IT WINS!

well from wat i saw this maybe the first fps that allows u to take cover... i dont know bout u but thats somthin to get hype about but thats not all look at the graphics, how the gameplay is gonna be layed out plus the fact that they're workin on somethin that makes every shot fired show actual impact... thats pushin gaming graphics to the limits rite thereSSKing

The R6V cover system would be cooler if it stayed in First Person instead of switching to 3rd person, just to add some realism.
