My favorite world is Boletarian Palace and my favorite stage is 3-1.

My favorite is Boletaria, of course. From blue and red-eyed knights, zombies, ninjas and fatmen to monster bosses and dragon slaying. Most amazing world in the game imo. Second place goes to StonefangTtunnel and Tower of Latria for having outstanding level designs.

I hated the valley of defilement, It was just a pain the ass and I was glad when it was over, but it was probably the best level imo.I think thats what they were going for dark and disgusting.

I did like Boletarian palace the best.

Boletaria was the most fun to play through. I liked aspects of all the levels, but Shrine of Storms and the Valley of Defilement were definitely my least favourite. I loved the atmosphere of the Tower of Latria, though.

Tower of Latria. Loved the atmosphere and the boss battles were alright. Before I learned the attack patterns of the mindflayers they terrified me, and none of the other enemy types really had that effect. It's also a really nicely varied area, with a nice mix of claustrophobic areas and more open spaces.I hate the Maneaters with a passion though. Probably one of the only bosses that I considered to be more cheap than difficult.

The rolling skeletons annoyed me, but yeah, none of the enemies were as initially frightening (and seemingly unbeatable) as the mind flayers. They were so powerful that I initially thought I had entered the wrong level. And even after I figured out how to skewer them, there was still an element of suspense as if you botched your run up to them they could still take off a big chunk of health.

All the worlds were great (except for world 5, I hated that level). My favorite is probably Bolitaria, except for 1-4. I can't for the life of me get past the blue dragon :( (the second part climbing the stairs, not the first part).

Get yourself a good bow and a lot of arrows, then go to town on that thing.

I'm more of a mage build, so my dex is pretty low (12 or 13 I think) so would that still be a good idea? How many arrows do you think it would take?

It's been a while since I've played the game, but really your dexterity level really only influences how quickly you can kill it. If you're patient, you can probably take it down... I'm not sure how much weight you can carry, but I would take 300 or so standard arrows to be on the safe side... otherwise, have you tried casting (I forget the name) the spell that surrounds you with the water mist? Try timing your runs and using that to reduce the damage done... You probably have tried that, but I'm just suggesting ideas here.

I tried using the flame resistance ring, but that didn't do much. I actually bought the spell for that but haven't tried it yet. I think I'll just get some souls and buy the arrows. Thanks!

Definitely Boletaria. I simply loved facing off against the knights, and other shield users.

It's not hard. Make sure that you have the fragrant ring on you which is the mp regenerator and just start rolling your way through to the top. Then take your mage (read it from later post) and go in the doorway and look up and use soul arrow/soul ray once you lock onto the dragon and keep shooting it until it dies. It takes a ling time to do since the ring heals your mp slowly or use old spice for a quicker way to gain some mp.

Definitely World 1. I just love the scenery, the buildings, the enemies. It all feels perfect. To order the rest of the worlds from most to least favorite: World 4 World 2 World 3 World 5

I Agree with Boleteria being the most fun level to run through, but since i dont consider myself to far in the game that is all i have to off. I did like 4-1 though it was tough but kept you honest with traps
