What's your thoughts on PlayStation Move?

So Sony have been showing off their new motion-sensing controller, the PlayStation Move, and I was wondering what your thoughts were on it? Personally I think it's unnecessary and too similar to Wii. I don't want Sony to start aping Nintendo, they should just continue in their own direction. I mean, look what Wii has done for Nintendo's credibility and quality in games!

.........playstation move is just like playstation home, waste of time and money, Sony should be concentrating on dishing out AAA games then spending all this effort into something thats not going to sell ps3's games, or anything for that matter..........

I'm just waiting to see what kind of games they come out with for it. If I see something that's worth spending $60 + move + camera for, I may check it out. It certainly won't replace my regular controller for general gaming, but it may be nice for a change of pace once in a while.

It will be interesting to see if it actually gets some Wii owners to buy a PS3, or not.

I think it's silly. I already have my Wii for motion control-oriented gaming, I don't need the same from my PS3. The whole reason I bought my PS3 was to compliment my gaming experience with great RPG's, more online capabilties, great graphics, and just some great gaming. I won;t be getting the PSMove, I don't care what they release for it.

It is a derivative concept and doesn't look promising.

I think its a great way to beat the WII and put Nintendo down as the Playstation Move Controller is equivalent to the WII remote, the Sub-Controller is as good as the Nunchuck and the Motion sensor of WII has the same duty as the Playstation Eye camera. If sony continues to do this, Nintendo will slowly disappear with all its consoles such as WII, DS and the GBA.

Motion sensing devices dont impress me in the slightest. It will be a cold day in hell before I purchase Move...or even Natal. I much prefer using a controller than waving my arms around

from the many comments i have seen on the internet, i think this thing isnt gonna do that well. i personally will not buy this until i see TONS of great hardcore games on it and a reason to buy this over my wii. i already have my wii for those causal family friend experiences and i have my PS3 for the hardcore experience, i dont think i need to turn my PS3 into an HD wii.

MOVE = Sony blatantly ripping off Nintendo and attempting to cash in on the "family-friendly" audience. They all want a piece of the pie.
