I used to play resistance every day. I haven't played in 2 weeks.
I can't bring myself to play any other game until I'm done with oblivion!!!!

And for those who don't like FPS is it true you can switch to 3rd person mode?Liamsyes u can, but 3rd person isnt all that great cause the running animation looks stupid. im sure u can get use to 1st person

for me i felt i may have a problem when i would be on my way to a quest in the mountains and i just admired the view as though i was there on the edge of the mountainwarbmxjohnohhh yea ive done that so many times, especially on my PC where everything is the the highest settings. Ill go take a screenie of the place I was at.

I've been playing all week. It's like a drug LOL
Became one of the head guys of The Dark Brotherhood, now I just started on the main quest. The side quests alone is pretty much a game all in itself. You can pretty much go through weeks and weeks without even touching the main quest. It really is a great game, as great as everybody says it is. Just starting the quest, I've already shut down I think 3 or 4 Oblivion gates on the way to the Imperial City, and now I'm looking for spies.
I've never played Elder Scrolls before, never even seen or heard of it until people were yapping about the PS3 version. Completely new to this franchise and I'm literally HOOKED. If you're open to different generes or this type of RPG, I suggest you get this game. You won't be disappointed.

Same here. My NBA 2k7 hasn't been played in weeks and I just won my first playoffs. I'll probably be rusty and lose when I continue it.
oblivion reminds me alot of world of war craft....nothing but cyber crack.
Well go ahead snort up all the crack you want because there is an unlimited amount.
All I gotta say it just don't get too addicted to that $hit because it will kill. I remember seeing something on vh1 or something like that about people playing WoW and this one guy got so hooked to it he was playing it more than 40 plus hours a week. He eventually put himself into some type of rehab clinic to help get back to normal but when he got out of rehab he picked up the old habit right where he left off and ended up committing suicide by blowing his head off with a shotgun not long after. True story though.

I've been there.
You're in addict once you start your 50+ hour game over just because you can't finish one quest because a glitch.irk_t_great
AWWW SUPER WEAK DUDE. I was addicted but im 107 hours in so ill play like 2 hours a day and spend the rest of my gaming time either playing silent hill 2 right now. also i get in some COD3 before work. funny thing is i never finished motor storm and i havent played resistence in over a month. god im waiting fo mgs4.
I think I realized it when I started making short cuts to get through some of the plains of oblivion.
You can go up near cliffs if you find the right spot, you can go down almost any cliff without getting hurt. So.. some of the plains are very much easier if you can skip a few underground caves n' such. ALSO - when i began testing how far I can get across lava pools to skip ahead as well...you'd be amazed.
I will play this game through one more time, I want to level "better" and I want to do NOTHING with th main quest until later. I will probably try to be a little more imfamy based than all good deeds too.
When you start a new character just to get some "more awesome" stats.
Right now (yes, right now) I'm beefing up my strength and endurance by constantly summoning a skeleton with the difficulty cranked up and wailing on it. Only six more levels to go with each stat and capped! :D But then I need to try and cap speed and agility.
You know you're an Oblivion addict when you've bought it for the PC, the 360 and are now very seriously considering buying it for the PS3 as well. Not that I know anyone like that. *coughs*nocoolnamejim

Yes, you just press the R3 button to switch between 1st and 3rd person.
your an addict once you start asking questions like this in a forum.... you know the 1st step to recovery is admitting that you have a problem. I have an underlying video game addiction that's developing like full blown AIDS. I'm cool with it
by the way, has anyone had the pleasure of watching NPC's attacking each other completely out of nowhere?afexthedamaja
I have on the PC version, I watched two bruma guards fight to the death. It was fun to watch.
I just cant get into this game. I have tried for over a year with the 360 version. Recently got the ps3 version. I forced myself to finaly close the first Oblivion gate. I just dont have the addictive personality to play these types of games. I could not stand WoW for more than a few hours ..i never got past the first month with that game.
