When did Sony downgrade the browser?

So this past weekend I realized that the web browser on my ps3 is now basically useless. It's comparable to a limited browser on old cell phones. I wanted to watch the UFC prelims on facebook thru ps3 so it would be on my tv but its so ghetto that it wont do that anymore.I cant believe they downgraded it! I used to be able to use the ps3 browser to watch live streaming videos off the internet and go on facebook. now when you go on facebook all you have is some lousy text and it looks nothing like it should.what the heck happened???

It always was crappy if you ask me. I just don't use it but they SHOULD update it, I (and probably some other gamers) would be more inclined to use it.

The PS3's browser has always been terrible. I think I would go crazy trying to browse the web on that thing.

Wow really?? i check my email, youtube, watch videos from other sites, i use it a LOT. I never had these issue nor have i heard of anything that everyone here is saying.

I never use my ps3 for the internet browser. Maybe once in a while I will check something out for a second and that is it. My computer is just so much better. I have given up hope for the ps3 browser because of the speed, browser, using ps3 controller, compatibility issues with adobe and others, etc. If people want to use internet with television, connect a laptop and use a wireless keyboard and mouse. Best way to go.
