im on ps+ and downloaded it thought it was a joke, not the game just the install process!!... its about 700mb or so to download then you got to download some update and then you have to download another 1.4gig ?!?!... i just couldn't be bothered and am not going to try it out anymore.

It's really not that hard to just go do something else for an hour or two while it downloads. Killzone 3 players can use the code on the insert inside their Killzone 3 case on March 29th. Yes, you will need to download the beta and then do an update that is quite large so expect to let that sit for a while before you get to access the beta.
The beta from KZ3 starts tin 2 days (Tuesday) when the store updates (usually around 8 PM EST) A voucher should have came with your copy if you got it around release day. Redeem the code once the store updates and let the fun begin :) I'm waiting for the beta as well. My friend has KZ3 and all he plays now is the SOCOM 4 beta. He even said the beta was better than KZ3.

Don't get your hopes up. Unless you like games that are completely unoriginal and nothing like any previous game in the franchise... Then you'll probably love it!
the so called "update" is not really an update. Its the actual beta itself. They decided to break up the download into two separate peices. It's on the podcast by zipper

Actually, he is correct. The game is nothing like Socom 2. It's a 3rd person MAG.

It had serious technical issues for a while but is actually a fun game.
