I'm in no position to say when it'll come until Square Enix starts opening their mouth and actually talking about the game. But I wouldn't expect it before 2009.
I would love for it to be sometime in 2008 but its probable not gonna happen an as for seprate releases they said they wouldn't do that it is supose to be a world launch.
I think October 2009 seems pretty reasonable to me. I would be REALLY surprised if this game arrived in 2008. Honestly though...there are SO MANY games coming out in 2008 that it doesn't bother me one bit.
I have a feeling that Final Fantasy XIII, God of War 3, and Resident Evil 5 will all be 2009 releases.
Hopefully they'll do a good job of it, take their time and get it out for either late 2008 or early to mid 2009. I think that's a reasonable time scale, depends on how much has been done to date, and how quick they will go with the PS3 system. If we get it late 2008 in UK, or at least Japan that wouldn't be a bad time scale. As someone said already there's a lot of good games coming out in 2008 so it's not going to be missed to an extent.
But my bets would be on late 2008 Japan/America, early to mid 2009 UK. As didn't FF12 come out in Febuary this year? Or was it last year in the UK i can't remember...so i feel a similar time frame will be on this one for the UK.
FFXII was released last year, 2006. So it'll probably be, at least, three years until we see FFXIII. I say don't start looking for it until sometime in 2009.
