DO you think we will have to wait until E3 2011 to hear about the psp 2? How powerful do you think it will be? As a scenario, say it comes out in late 2011/early 2012. By that time the PS3 will have been out over 5 years. Would it be unreasonable to assume it could be close in power/graphics to the ps3? What do you think?

When people stop being cheap and pay the price of things. Many people here are bragging about a new PSP but at the same time the don't even like to pay $200 for the current one with a memory stick, movie and game.

I don't know, but I think it would be nice if Sony supported the successor a lot more than the PSP.

It's not SONY'S fault really, they do support it(Patapon, Loco Roco, updates) it's the 3rd party devs that don't support it as well as we'd all like

That's what they need. They need more games. If only they could somehow slow piracy on the current PSP then more developers will be willing to launch games.

it seems to be very tough. the hackers in the cfw scene stop at nothing..i mean by the time they stop it 1 1/2 weeks later they have a patch that lets them get around an update...it's crazy

The wisdom in this young mans post is incredibly excellent. Third party development is logically to blame for the unfortunate events plaguing the PSP community and their family. In time this problem will find a solution. Sony still has the support of Coolyfett, there is plenty of sand in the top half of the hour glass.

Actually, Sony could just hand 3rd party devs some cash and go "hey develop this game for our PSP".

That's already what they can do with their Sony Computer Entertainment studios. They can only do this if they agree to publish the game, and they won't publish a game outside of Sony development studios. So they can, but Sony's exclusive nature won't really permit this.
