I know its been live since they announced it, but that was only for the U.S. Does anyone know when the service will be ready to be released in Canada aswell? Furi-Kun
It has to do with copyright and distribution rights. That's why when you go places like Fox.com to watch episodes off their Myspace thing they only allow it for Americans. I don't think this feature will come anytime soon, I'm with you on this one as well =/
It'll be a while, if ever. There are a ton of hoops to jump through, which is why it took Microsoft so long to bring its movie store to Canada - and even then it's a shadow of what the US store is and the prices are all higher.
I expect the PS3's service to play out in a very similar way.
[QUOTE="Diego_921"]what if you make an american psn account do you think that would work?Shortbob
It probably would :P
No because the store is based upon your IP. Unless you can mask your IP to making the store think you're from the United States it won't work. A gamespot Euro player tried it and it didn't work.

Its funny you say that since neither US nor Canada get PlayTv which in my opinion is loads better than the video store.
