When is the new MGS 4 coming out?

on gamespot the other day a article entitled "MGS4: not until '08?" was posted, however, i didn't read itcallen3

that was under "Retail Radar"
when the hell is Gamestop or EB ever right?

So far... No one knows exactly when. There are quite few rumours and speculation on the MGS4 release date and from one retailer, the game will be release in early 08. Thomas-Crown

Personally, I won't believe that there is a delay unless Kojima himself announces it. I'm hoping he doesn't though.

Really, this is a position where sony can really learn and thing or 2 from microsoft. MGS is definitely one of the biggest games for sony, and we can't get an answer on a release date, even though they have been working in it for a long time. Halo 3 is the biggest game for microsoft and what do 360 fans get, I release date at least 2 months earlier then everyone expected. Why can we get any news of release dates for any of the big games sony has. Lair, Warhawk, FFXIII, MGS4, no dates at all for any of these games, not even a time frame for us to look forward to, way to go sony for keeping us in the dark.SmoothBrother1

Delays ARE GOOD. How many times must we repeat it? NO ONE wants a game with bugs or an unfinished touch. They better take their sweet time and deliver the best they can. Patience is a virtue, and good things come to those who wait. And not knowing when a game is supposed to come out is good, because nothing ever go as planned in programming (I know, I'm a programmer), and delays are a common thing, even when they have to work over 70 hours a week in the last month of development. So if you don't want to angry the impatient customers when you have to delay your game, then just don't announce a date at all until all is ready.

Delay? There was no release date to begin with.....so there cant be a delay.

you do know providing release dates for third party games have nothing to do with Sony right?

As long as the official site says it's going to be released in 2007, I'll believe that it will, until they announce otherwise.

hey you do know lair comes out in july and hevanly sword comes out in august and if halo comes out 2 months earlier then its supposed to then that game better be perfect or they **** themselfs up badly but if it comes out earlier then that leaves a huge hole in the holiday release slot for the 360 smart move big question. and if mgs4 comes out in 08 people can wait.
