Yes for about 8 months after Playstation 4 is released. Then Sony announces We are no longer supporting online support for PS3 games. Stating that BC online support to be halted in future revisions of Playstation 4. Thus the gaming community creates endless "Bring back Online support for Playstation 3 games" Sony just says Tough **** Online Moderators begin locking endless Bring Back PS3 online support threads.

Considering that we still aren't able to download PS2 games from PSN, it seems Sony wants to milk last gen game sales for every cent they can get out of them. Considering that, I think there's a good chance they'll keep supporting the online component of PS3 games once the PS4 comes out.
