When the Second Gen of gaming start for the PS3?

First gen looks awesome with R:FOM, Motorstorm, upcoming LAIR and Heavenly Sword.

So, when does the second gen of gaming start for the PS3....  Is MGS4, KillZone and FFXIII will be considered Second Gen titles for the PS3 or they still be First Gen titles for the PS3?

Heavenly Sword and Lair are second Gen, first gen never used streaming textures like RFOM. Lair will be the first to stream hence second gen. First Gen are all the games released now. Starting from Lair and Heavenly with it's Ninja Theory HDR we are at second Gen.KSD22

You think so.. But I  thought that it depend on the system life span as well and the PS3 going to be out for only 7-8 months by the time LAIR and Heavenly Sword comes out.  Isn't LAIR and Heavenly Sword still considered First Gen and MGS4 and KillZone will be considered Second Gen

second gen starts after their "system seller" comes out in my opinion.

Killzone will start the next gen. It's the game that is going to allow Sony to state "checkmate." Oh, it'll be longer than six hours also.

Good point. 

I think MGS 4, Killzone 2 and Heavenly Sword can be considered as second wave. Second wave basically is not just about graphical improvements but also a new generation of game-play. Game-play which wasn't capable from the last gen and games like MGS 4, Heavenly Sword, LAIR etc... certainly has the potential to be delivere that. Also, as someone already mentioned, a game that can increase the sales of the system can be consider as a second wave.
