when will ps3's graphics exceed 360's by 3 times?

Well I have all three systems, and I really do not see much difference between the 360 and the PS3. I think that game spots comparison looked the same to me, some games had a little more detail. I think that has to do with the developers and not the system.Army_Veteran

yeah i totally agree with you there, yeah i love the graphics gears of war has, well atleast for the 360 and not comparing it to all 3 consolesthat is. but comparing it to ps3's graphics, oh god, lazy devs can make any game better than 360's games graphics.

sorry, if i didn't know the answer, i wouldn't of asked. but wow yeah, killzone 2 looks like it will kill 360 in terms of graphics, it's not 2x better, not 3x better, not 4x better or anything, it's killx better.

I think this question would be more relevent in like 5 years or so its no secret ps3 has more Potentiol FACTS Im gonna go on a limb and say within 5 years there will be a Obvious Diffrence between ps3 and 360 this is just my opinion

yah in 5 years we will see obvious difference, not necessarily textures, but pretty much everything BUT textures, animation, polygon count, world size, gameplay / physics. 360 can have their textures.davez82

The PS3 will be 6 years old...we'll be on the PS4 and as far as grahpics go the PS3 at that point will be old.

The difference 6 years in hardware makes is exactly this:

PS1 -> PS2

PS2 -> PS3

So now imagine the PS4 5-years from now.

i doubt ps4 will be here in 5 years theyve said many times they see 10 year lifespan in ps3 Theyve already started developing the ps4 im sure but it wont be out in 5 years

People have already stated some of the games at sony's gamers day would not beable to be played at that Quality on a 360 "as of now" Both systems are gonna only get better and better But Ps3 will have better graphics just facts

I think the real battle is Gameplay and innovation Thats where it counts IMO Zelda> gears gameplay/story/invovation

i played zelda on the wii two days ago and it was boring and looked really bad!

gears has good grpahics but i got bored of the walk/run, duck/shoot, continue play and the constantly same barrel rolls to get places without gunfire LMAO

and yeah wait till e3 for killzoneeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

and they only look bad because the devs are lazy and porting hashes from 360, if youve read current articles, you will see that the devs are whining about theps3 being too hard to dev for so they port, which is also hard, they are LAZY! if they want to make a good gameaand sell it TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE TECHNOLOGY, dont just pout and stick with the marginal, thats like offering someone a job at mcdonalds or google!
