When will the PSN store get all new UMD games on it?

What I am talking about is when will the PSN store start to get games that are just coming out? I heard that Japan is already doing this. All of their UMD games are now digital. Will this happen in the US? thanks

Is that mean PSP games are no longer in UMD and able to download?
