Dont get me wrong, I want the psp to live a lot longer, but does anyone know when it will die off, or and if it will be succeeded by any future sony handhelds?
Thanks.

I hope it doesnt die, but it would be nice if they brought out a version that has two analog nubs.
probobly soon because it just doesnt release quality games and such, ive had one since it came out and played about 4 games that were good but now its just collecting dust in my roomMinder22
Thank you for the smile tonight. If your games list is correct for your account then you're obviously a PC gamer. Of course you wouldn't like a psp. I'll give you $50 for your "dust collector" if you don't want it. I have a 10 year old that wants one.
He's right! [QUOTE="Meta-Gnostic"]PSP should last at least until 2010, probably until 2011.5, and possibly until 2013.rualex11
Thanks. I believe in my prediction 100%. Its based on previous console & portable timetables, sales momentum, Nintendo's handheld strategy & history, Sony's videogame market strategy & history, etc.
Some say it's already dead.PlasmaBeam44Hahah... That is great XD (but seriously)... I think probably four more years or so... maybe three if graphics like Crysis become the medium quicker than expected. I personally wouldn't care if a PSP2 came out tommorow (and I just bougt my PSP a few months ago) If it just had say *coughtwoanalogstickscough*, put in 256MB DDR2RAM, and if they could get somewhat better graphics, like... bad Xbox360 graphics or so (maybe a little worse) then I would say that'd be a true sucessor.
Fix the two main problems of the first one, and give us a bonus of bootiful graphics!
WHEN YOU SHOOT IT!!!!
it'll never die, i can see myself playing lumines and final fantasy tactics 10 years from now (ive been playing fft since it came out for PS1, and lumines since it came out for xbox arcarde)
but theyll prolly stop making MAJOR games one year after W/E sonys next portable will be is released

Same here. I want them just to release one with 2 analog nubs. That would make everyone want a PSP.i have a psp and a wii and i only play my psp when im on the jon awptimistic
And I thank you for sharing that.
It depends on what your definition of die is...Fredrick2003x
Im pretty sure theres only one definition.
Even though DS sells astronomical amounts, it does not mean that PSP does not. Actually, it has sold a lot more than Gameboy Advance did in the same time. About future? PSP slim is just announced, and it sold around 1 million pieces in 2 weeks when prequel of Final Fantasy 7, Crisis Core was released in Japan. That's for people who says there are no good games coming for PSP, you cannot overlook the fact that Square-Enix is just warming up catering PSP - with Final Fantasy Tactics, Crisis Core and new Kingdom Hearts - and no-one should forget new God of War (Edit: Not S-E title offcourse) ^_^.
It looks like there are a lot of PC-players who have bought PSP for PC'ish gaming - RTS and first-person shooters - no one else needs two analog sticks. For me, two sticks does not matter.
