Guess when Sony ramps up their shipments. I never knew there was a shortage. Just be patient man and hopefully you can get one soon.

It's going to be a lot harder for you because Final Fantasy XIII and God of War 3 are coming out this month.

Hopefully soon, because I want one as well. I've already checked Best Buy, Gamestop, Target, Wal-mart, and even Sam's Club. Not a single one. I dont know why Sony's making it so hard for me to give them my money..

Amazon has PS3's at the normal $299.99 price point. Other than that, good luck. I know my freind bought the last ps3 in his area and they have been all out since then. It is really rediculous that there is a shortage to begin with. It should not be lasting this long.

I was lucky to find a 80GB with backwards compatibility at a gamestop. But Like others have said, I don't see a shortage anywhere around me. That's odd.

I was out last weekend and in the local mall there wasn't a single PS3 in stock anywhere I looked. There were a bunch of other systems everywhere I looked. It was this way back when the system was first released up until just before the first price cut.

I posted an article link a week ago that Sony has made a small GPU among other modifications to the newer model PS3 Slim that is being released. They are basically going to go down to one or two models only and keep it at that. Which it basically has been since they brought the slims out. Regardless, this will save them money in the long run and they will start making profit on each PS3.

This post basically speaks my mind. I had to place one on hold in bestbuy and wait a few weeks. They are getting bought out much faster than the stores can restock. I think electronics stores should just consider stocking a lot more of them.
