When you first got your PS3.....

First I stared at my ps3 for 3 hours then i set it up and put Motorstorm and stared at the Tv for a few days.. i forgot about the jaw dropping part when i opened the box and all that shiny thing came out

Well, I got it first thing in the morning, and then I was sent to the hospital to go get diagnosed with a lifelong illness, lol. After recovering from the hospital trip, it was a lot of Resistance and then on Feb 1, flOw. Yup, good ol' PS3.

i got mine on new years eve at best buy. i actually went there to buy a Karaoke machine for a new years party that my in-laws were having that night and got lucky cuz they brought 5 to the sales floor right when i walked to the electronics area

i took it to my in-laws house and showed every one that came into the house what i had bought LOL i was like a proud new father HAHA

then i played the hell out of Socom CA on it for about a week until i finally bought Resistance

Heard the mailman come to my doorway, plop something down on my porch as i was playing TP on my cube... My friend who wanted to see it was leaving, so i laughed at him, but me made me open it and touched everything first :( After he left though, i lifted it up in the air and the world got a bit brighter that day ..lolGroove60

i got mine on friday 23rd march at 8:30am then i went and got a HD tv for my ps3 then i got sum games

Cristmas Day, it was the most awsome present i have ever recieved. Got the HDMI cable, the Optical cable for suround sound (7.1) and played resistance in HD on my 63 HD SONY TV. The PS3 looked so cool when i took it out of the box, and the touch features are amazing. :)

I ran to my car with my wife in tow because at that time, folks were getting robbed by gunpoint, plus I was gonna be late for work. Got mines on launch day @ Target store #.... in Fairfield, CA. I didn't get to play it until later on that evening because I had to work and get that money mayne, cuz after 6 and some change I sure needed it....lolslyydevil

i picked mine up at circuit city.story:

it was the longest 5 hours of my life because i woke up at 5:00am and the store didnt open for 5 more hours. when i got there it was the longest 20 minuts of my lifee to wait for the store to open and get out my ps3.i was in the process of raising it in the air when suddenly. it started to drop. everything it took to get that 649.49$ rushed thourgh my mind and by the im it was an inch from my hand i reasched for it and caught it. i proceeded to put it in my grandma's car. PS i bought it with MY money i borrowed nothing i worked and saved up for it all. i went across the street to best buy to get $RFOM. i then procceded all they way to the other side of houston texas to get my second controller. i went back to my side of houston to carry my ps3 to my front door put it on my foot while unlocking it anbd going inside.i dasahed over to the living room and remembering the opening the box video i saw from IGN i think. took it out carefully. i looked at every thing and realized just like my ps1 and ps2 the controller that came withh the system will be the one i use until it dies. i hooked it up stared at it and listened as the beep and orchrestra sounded.i played withh the settings. and trried to sign up for the PSN. until i realized we wouldnt be getting wi fi for 3 days. i popped in resistence and played it was awesome. still now i have not played with the controller i bought from best buy but ive played with the one i plaed  with the system. add me

Yeah well, something I gotta live through. PS3 helps ease the pain. Not like I'm not going to be sticking around long enough to see Playstation 7 or anything, as long as keep care of myself and watch what I'm doing, I'll be fine. Stress kills me, so I kinda had to learn not to get irrate at games and just say "oh well" actually, I find games funner now doing that. If I can't do something without getting freaked out, I just don't do it. If it's in the middle of the game, I just get my brother to do that one part.

I got a phone  call from my friend on 11/20 from best buy.. told me 12 were coming in.. I got up and did like 90mph to the store.. Came home slept for a few then played..

 Pre-ordered it through Argos (catalogue company) and pre-ordered 4 games and an extra controller through another game company.

Then after sitting watching daytime tv until 2pm there was another knock at my door...............the postman handed over my games! How excited was I!......................all I needed now was the console! lol!

At 5pm it wasnt here so I started to panick! i phoned the delivery company who said one of the delivery vans had been broken into and they couldnt confirm whether my PS3 was on which van, the guy told me things were in chaos and if I hadnt got it by 6pm I would have to phone 2moro. I was so upset!...........................I just sat and starred into space!

5:45pm knock at the door, my stomach came up in my mouth!........................door to door salesman, told him to **** off and slammed door!

 I sat with tears in my eyes, honestly! 4 games and 1 controller at the side of me!

 Knock at the door, I was now ready to explode............................................Argos man! MY PS3! I could have kissed him....................I did! My life changed from that moment!

December 23rd, 430 p.m

Strolled into the local Costco shopping with my mother-in-law.  Small card table set up with 60gig box on display.  Sign says see associate for certificate.  I ask "are they in stock?".."yes sir just got them in"  I walk away stressed out.  I can't justify buying one for myself two days before Christmas.  Just doesn't seem right.

 We finish up shopping head home and my in-laws tell me we are going back.  They bought it for me as a present.  I sat with it in my lap for over an hour, they were going crazy wanting me to open it and set it up.  They took a pic of me just sitting there with it in my lap.  I look like I am high!

I have since justified a whole new HD setup at home :D

Laughed as I bought the PS3 in nothing but 20 dollar bills. I felt rich with that big wad of cash in my pocket. When I brought it to my room, set it up, configured it, popped in Call of Duty 3 and had a blast.Flame_Blade88

Haha, I felt the same way except I paid with nothing but 100 dollar bills.   First thing I did with it was co-op in Resistance.

I got it out the box as fast as I could without tearing the box open and said "Damn, this thing is heavy." As I slowly moved it into position next to my TV.

Went to school the day before launch and made my mom drive by best buy 2 see if anyone was there..she called and said there were tents already...so I took my school stuff and called my buddy and he came...we at the time were the last 2 getting a PS3 #'s 26 and 27 out of 27 PS3's.  We stayed in Bestbuy and when it closed stayed in the below freezing temperatures in a tent ( which i sent my dad 2 buy before that) we has a propane heater but it was just getting us high off fumes... bout 3 in the morning these guys come and try and egg us but we didnt get hit, then we see the PS truck rolling around the back and the guy coming in 2 set everything up in the store. 8 am hit we got in I got my stuff with RFOM and RR7 and one extra sixaxis...and I was done...my wait and temptation not to buy 360 had prevailed and it was right becuz i couldnt be happier
