When you play your anticipated game..what difficulty do you play it on?

I always play it on medium no matter what, even if it is my most anticipated game to play, I just dont want to play it on Hard because I might die alot and get frustrated at it and it ruins the fun for me...then after beating it on medium, I play it again on the hardest level. how about you..what is your reason?

Depends what mood I'm in.Sometimes I'll play on easy first to get the hang of it. Although most of the time I play on normal. I always do if theres a win the game on normal difficulty trophy.

Same here. I always play on normal, so when I got back for trophies/achievements that relate to the difficulty, I'll know what happens where and what to do there.

I start every game i play on Hard. Except RTS.

Medium. I might start playing it on hard if there's a trophy involved. :P

Always Medium/Normal. If I beat the game and feel like playing it again I'll play on Hard.

Always normal for me. But if I know its an easy game then I up the difficulty. With Rachet and Clank: ToD I started on hard and it was still a cake walk except towards the end fighting those weird purple enemies.

Hardest difficulty settings, always. Yeah I know, I'm a badass.

Normal First. After I figure out the difficulty, I go back and play on Hard/The Highest difficulty.

Always always Normal. In previous generations this was because there were always too many goodgames coming out in any given month to waste too much time with any one game and I generally tend to complete games to the end. This Gen I've re-discovered the joys of reading a good book in between must-have games, so I've experimented a little with harder difficulties.

Medium. I might start playing it on hard if there's a trophy involved. :P

why, its called normal for a reason, its the way the developer designed it to be experience, and its where the average gamer's skillset is.

If its a series that I'm very familiar with and if I have mastered its predecessors then I'm gonna play the game on hard.

Well I get extremely frustrated with almost every game I play because I always die from stupid stuff (Resistance, Fallout 3, Rainbow Six Vegas, MGS4, etc) so I play it on easy and then I gradually make my way to the hardest level.lexika

I always play through every new game i get on easiest difficulty. That way i can see all the game has to offer up front. Then when i finish it, i try to trudge through the game on the hardest difficulty to get trophies/unlockables and such.
