Where are you in White Knight Chronicles?

I was just passing my 9 hour mark in WKC, and I have only made it to The Desert City of Albana! I just wanted to know where everyone else is at! So Kara has just joined my group. My characters are all level 19, with at least 75 to 85% of their main weapons maxed out in the skills option. I have to say that I am really enjoying this game!

Where about everyone else? What level are you? How long have you been playing for?

I'm not sure about this game, if they had brought out a demo i would of made up my mind. However due to the reviews, until i play it, i'm not buying it.

I was shocked by the review, Level 5 are amazing (play Dark Chronicle), yet this got a low score, so now I'm unsure of getting it.

Is it really good? I could use a good JRPG outside of Valkyria Chronicles(incredible game, but definitely not what you'd call an traditional JRPG)

Honestly, I find it's a damn good game, I am enjoying it, and I believe that GS should have given it at least a 7.5 or 8. Not a 6. Also, your type of genre comes into play, If you like JRPG's, than you will like this game forsure.

One more thing, I hate reviews, people have been dying to get this game and because of a low score people are backing down. Who cares about what the reviewer rated it. It's honestly a good game. I never listen to reviewers, I just like watching them to see what they think and what I think. Overall, majority of the time they are wrong except for games rated 4 and lower.

I'm just a little fartherthan you are TC, just finished the Oasis quest. My characters are lower level than yours though,around 14.. I dont want to level up too much because I dont want the game to get too easy.. like the reviews pointed out.

when did i say you should spend money that you dont have? all i said was dont base everything on reviews

reviewer A might hate the game where as review B might love it

how do u know that you are not more in tune with review B

and im sure u can afford 5 bucks for a rental

also my post was not geared toward people like you in the first place
it was geared toward people who were on the fence due to gamespots reviews

I am far from havin 60-70 dollars, I trade in games because I am a University student. It's not the fact of money that bothers me, it's the fact that people want these games so bad, and because a review comes out saying it's not good, they instantly are turned off by it. That's what bothers me. Do you shop somewhere because you like it, or because someone says it's good or bad. Same thing.

The entire 4th quarted was the best part of the game, the story actually starts to get somewhere near good. The ending itsself was also good.... but a cliffhanger for the second game.

The game is part of a planned trilogy.

same here.... And imo the ppl that did the reviews has no idea what they are reviewing...

Some of the critic were:

"you have to wait for the circle to fill before attack"

"you do not have a way to fully scape the enemies attack"

Well, my question: did they know that is was a turn-based/action time game?? since when you do not wait in a turn-based and since when can you move to fully always avoid the hit of the enemy. In this game, bc is also mix with "real time" you can avoid some attacks, and it feels that you are not actually waiting your turn sometimes in battle bc while you time comes someone of the party is attacking (the circle filled at different times)

I`m not a fan of turn-based (like more real-time.action RPGs), but even I know that these is the mechanism of a turn-based (-like) game...

also: "party is limited on what you can tell them to do" WHAT?? so far my party do exactly what I want:

1. focus on one target at the time (you have several options)

2. One focus on healing and cure and so on the party

3. One focus on magic attacks

4. so far they attack in the order of the way I put the commands... e.g. I put the strongest magic and once she do not have enough for that one use the next one (I put one that requered less MP).. if I put the slash first and put use MP and AC limited, she would slash and use magic rarely.. and so on

The commands and options of attacks, and weapons is pretty good.

and BTW: I like it and give it at least a 7.5-8.0/10 ... lil stuff like some camera shift once in a while during battle, no best graphic for now at days, and changing characters should have a faster way make that score.

at note: I have no have any freezing issue, but then again I`m not too far into the game :) ... hopefully it would not be too much of a bother :) THAT is a point that can be mention in a review and be valid (done by IGN, do not remember if GS did) the rest details as above are just *slap forehead* *sighs*

@shiroki: and hopefully the damage thx to reviews would not damage the releases for NA... when we are FINALLY getting RPGs, and then they wonder why we do not get many RPG, specially JRPG... :roll:

Hey dude, I will definitely add you when I go online, I don't go on all the time, but I do occaisonally. As for the game, I totally agree with what you said, their easy commands that help your AI partners, in some games you don't even have the ability to do that. Also, not once has my game froze, and I never had and camera angle problems at all. I think people just like to complain. I think I gave this game a 9 because I am actually into it. I usually know by the first hour if I will like an RPG or not, and this game I have played 10x the hours of that. So I know this is a good game.

LOL I'm still at Albana with 19 hours playtime xD (exploring each area inch by inch :P)

I haven't picked it up yet, but I'm looking forward to playing it.
