I noticed this long ago but were too lazy to search about it

hello everyone, my concern is that im 100% sure that i was able to play music in the background while i'm browsing the xmb or internet, now i can't because i even have to stop the song that is playing to search for another one...this sucks

am i worng?

No, on mine this also disappeared after some bigger system update last year. Maybe it's something about the model (I'm using a 80GB model).

not the model , i have that model and i can play music whilst browsing.

Mine plays music while using the browser or the internet search. What bugs me the most is that I can't listen to my music on so many games and when on the store...lazy design for the win!!1

I have a 120GB slim by the way.

Do this; Go to settings > Music Settings > Output Frequency > Select 48 kHz Problem solved. :)

Do this; Go to settings > Music Settings > Output Frequency > Select 48 kHz Problem solved. :)

(i feel so dumb)

dam thank you very much sir i didnt knew that option had to do with that

EDIT: will i notice any difference when playing music?

It has to do with the frequency of your music. I don't know the deatails of Hzso I can't really give you more information, but if there's a big number change then you may notice a difference.

I think the better question is, how did you figure that out MushroomWig?
