I don't think we'll see an new Onimusha any time soon. Even Kenji Infune express he reather work on an Mega Man legends 3 than an new Onimusha. I'm with you guys though I would love so see an new Onimusha title.

Onimusha was basically (classic) Resident Evil but with samurai. Unless Capcom decides to go through the trouble of reinventing the series to make it more appealing--and they won't, judging from how recycled games like RE5 and SF4 feel--it ain't coming back, brah.

there was rumor of a onimusha movie being made. then the project got scrapped. my hopes/thoughts were that they were going to release a next gen version of the game alongside the movie. like so many film companies and game developers are doing these days. itd be nice to see a next installment in the series. but for the ps3 alot of things would need an overhaul. mainly the combat system.

Yea the project got scrapped due to Heath Ledger's death. Heath was going to play the Spanish character from Onimusha 4 along side Takashi Kaneshiro

Onimusha 1 and 2 were amazing games. Part 3 aside from the awesome intro was a big letdown. Never played part 4 (any good?).

I believe a new Onimusha will come and my hopes is that it will be announced this May at E3 2009. Just wait and see.

Like what? Capcom only have so many games they can make at any one time and so far have made Megaman 9, Resident Evil 5 / Umbrella Chronicles and Devil May Cry 4 as well as bringing back older franchises like Bionic Commando and Streetfighter. Onimusha and Breath of Fire aside what other franchises have they dropped so far? :? I would love to see a new Onimusha game though i doubt it will happen, still i'm happy enough with Dead Rising 2 and Lost Planet 2.
