Y'know I been thinking about something lately that kinda bothers me about this new generation of gaming. There's not cheats! I mean, one of the fun things I liked about lots of games was that after you beat the game you unclock all these different cheats to make your next play through all the more fun and interesting. Remember Goldeneye for N64? That big-head mode was hilarious! One of my favorite things about the MGS series was unlocking the stealth camo and running through my next play through CQCing the unsuspecting soldiers. Oh, the fun. I'm not a noob who wants to spam my way through all my games; I enjoy the challenges. However, I would like to run through KZ2 with infinite ammo and invincibility just to show those Higs who the man is. I'd even settle for a cheat that turns all the helgans pink. I don't care. I just want something different to look forward to on my next play through.
Developers just don't seem interested in implementing cheats or the use of cheat codes anymore. Heck, you don't really see Easter Eggs anymore, either. Even GTA4 (a franchise known for extensive cheats) was lacking terribly in its cheat list. There's no Action Replay for PS3, either. I just miss getting to play a game on my termsfrom time to time. Doe anyone else miss it?
