Gran turismo is the best racing simulator.
Burnout is just plain awesome and fun.

For my personal style, Gran Turismo still remains the most realistic racing video game. It has been doing so since original GT which featured 11 courses and 178 cars, and both arcade and simulation modes.
It's also #1 selling Sony PlayStation video game franchise which spans over 55 million copies up-to-date including GT5 Prologue.
I always enjoyed Burnout series, but they offer much different experience.
Gran Turismo is in its own league and I simply can't wait to see how incredible full release of GT5 will be when it finally arrives. ;)
For myself I use to love both equally. However after the last Burnout game it has sorta put me off the Burnout's.
However also saying that I cannot wait GT5 to come out, that is going to be brilliant
gt5...its the most technicayly accurate racing game there is. no car handles quite like gt5. you can also drift in that game
most ppl enjoy burnout becase its an easier game to play... not so technical and the crashes are downright awesome...but id still go with gt5 ftw
Both!
The series are different enough that I can enjoy both of them. Right now I'd give Burnout the edge, but once GT5 proper comes out I'll definitely change my mind. The perfectionist/tuning freak in me will go crazy once I get my hands on GT.
Gran Turismo used to be the one, but with a some-what lacking GT5; Prologue, and an EXTRA EXCELLENT Burnout Paradise, the table have turned... i'm still excited for the proper release of GT5, but Burnout Paradise is... WOW. plus, it's oly getting better, what with the new cars and party pack (with new trophies!) and Surf Island (i think that's what it's called?). so yeah, go Burnout!danduronYeah thats my thoughts as well but we will have to see about the actual GT5. ps its Big Surf Island
Not that much into racing, but LURVS Motorstorm.
Also Burnout...It's more entertaining and much a more adrenaline infusing experience. If I want to play a ALMOST LIKE REALITY Car Sim...I don't, I just get in to a real car and drive.

Most of us aren't lucky enough to own a F1 car or even anything capable of speeds over 200KpH (120MpH) so GT gives people a chance to drive dream cars on dream tracks. I would love to get into racing in real life but I don't have the money but I will be getting into go-Kart racing with my brother soon.
Ever since I got GT4, I've logged about 500 hours into it, and I got it around the end of summer.
Burnout 3 is still doing it for me, I still just got one car to get, and it's the Euro circuit racer, and man, is it hard to get.

So...you get in your Ferrari F2007 and take a spin?
Gran Turismo will always be my favorite racing series but I still have respect for the Burnout series as well. Burnout Paradise is a fantastic game.Flame_Blade88
Too true, Burnout paradise, I plaed the demo, and it's world is just "Fantabulous!" and that's just the demo, GT, has a non lagging engine, and has a unique quality that brings people to trying it out atleast, and it is just down right awesome. I'm heavily addicted to GT4.

Maybe I didn't make myself clear.I DON'T NEED to drive a Ferrari or whatever awesome car there is. I much rather get into a crummy Jeep and floor it in the jungle trough valleys and doing insanely huge jumps.
In conclusion
Flooring a Racing Jeep trough a jungle and doing long jumps > flooring a Ferrari in a closed track.
