Puzzle games like Lumines Supernova from PSN come to mind. Sports games like MLB 09 The Show. Oblivion and Fallout 3 will get at least a few more playthroughs. I've beaten Bioshock at least half a dozen times... and The Orange Box? Jeez... I'll probably play Half Life 2 a hundred more times before I die. I'm not even going to go into how much the multiplayer for Killzone and COD4 has extended the value on those games for me.
I only buy games that have replay value, though... it's basically my only purchase criteria. I just wish there were less games that I could kill 100 hours with! lol.
almost all of them....i mean mgs4 has plenty, infamous im still enjoying and im on 3rd play through, killzone i cant get enough off, love motor storm 2 as well, ghost busters i got week or so ago and still loving it. i dont know i usually get games that i have enough replay value in them exclusive or not. the only game(s) i have very lil replay value i had/have are Jericho and GTA4( i enjoyed gta 4 and still play it from time to time but i rarely go back to it as much as i do with my other games)
Valkyria Chronicles. The skirmishes add a ton of replay value and the new game plus feature also adds some as well. It's just a great game to begin with, but the replay value makes it special.
when you say replay value do you just mean playtime, because these days the term replay value doesn't really seem right as most people only play the campaign once and then just play online for about 70 hours.
well for my playtime, i have clocked about 70 hours online for cod 4(pc)20hours campaign,(hardened and veteran).
but mgs4 would have to be the most. 100 hours replaying the campaign, and six hours online.
probably mgs4. ive beaten it atleast 5 times. but if we are going time played, then sacred 2 has gotten a ton of playtime and will likely get a lot more.
Well in my PS3 collection it's hard to say cause I don't usually play through games more than once but I have played World at War's campaign 3 times. It's a shame I can't beat it on Veteran because the vet trophies are the only thing holding me back from a platinum in that game. But nonetheless it's a fun game I enjoyed going back to get more of the trophies which I never thought i would get.
