I thought Assasin's Creed 2 was awesome the way the cities looked.

As much as I disliked the game overall, the setting was the one thing I really liked about The Saboteur. German occupied France and the countryside was very cool looking and fun just to explore.

To me there has only been three games ever that have the best looking looking cities/buildings, and they look soo real that it feels like I am there.

Half Life 2, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl, and now Crysis 2.

Mafia 2. The city in that game was fanastic. The winter looked awesome.

I definitely vote for the Assissins Creed series, especially Venice. That was gorgeous.

Rapture from Bioshock has the most beautiful city in the history of gaming imo.

I just said Crysis because technically it would be the most gorgeous since it has the best graphics.

But Vegas is a pretty cool city 8)

None of these other games are on the scale or density that GTA IV is on. Its a full living brething city. It shouldn't be in question

I haven't seen "Crysis 2" yet, in person, so I can't say... but y'know what I think is a fantastic looking game, and it never gets any props for how good it looks, is "Just Cause 2". Sorry to go off-pole, for my written response, but i did cast a vote for one above, too. I try to follow the rules...

Mass Effect II. The space docks and cities were amazing.JasonDarksavior

I voted for Vegas, but Mass Effect I and II both had amazing cities and, in my opinion, the best atmosphere in any video game, ever.

Liberty City. nothing awes me like the first time Star Junction opened up in front of my eyes to a sea of blinding lights. it's a beautiful ode to the capital of the world in all its grit and glory.

Assassins Creed 2 or Bioshock for me, with Rapture being beautiful yet horrifying at the same time.

Crysis 2, followed by Red Dead Redemption (allthough itsnot really a city, i think itsa really nice landscape)

Kamurocho, Yakuza 4. A lively red light district with a lot of people and neon lights. It's really beautiful especially when it's raining.

I really liked the city in Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2. Sort of a futuristic place, and they had these pink trees growing on the sides of skyscrapers and stuff. I played the demo and that was pretty much the main reason I bought the game.

i dunno but i recently beat mass effect 2(great quality game btw) and it has really nice graphics, like really nice. they had some really nice views andsceneries of futuristic cities and stuff. the planet Ilium comes to mind for those who have played it.
