which game is better cod4 or mgs4

Since MGS 4 is new, people might poll for it.

I haven't played it yet so I can't tell...

They are both great games with great graphics. The single platyers are both intense but MGS4's is longer. Multiplayer wise, I would take COD4. If you want to play against friends and have some fun, go with COD4, outherwise get MGS4.

MGS4 single player is way longer and better than call of duty 4 and online MGS4 is good too.

I don't like to play online, never did, never will be. So all MGS4 for meplg2307

i used to say the same until i bought my ps3 along with resistance man, go for it, do it, dare to play online :P. its fun, real fun ! oh, and for me is metal gear 4:D

Well yes ... resistance online is the one that lasted the longuest... 10hours or so.

I sadly bought Warhawk played 2 hour top and CoD4 ... my 2 worst purchase yet

MGS 4 for offline

COD 4 for online

apples and oranges here. do you prefer single-player story (mgs) or multi-player online (cod). that's really all there is to it. sure they've both got offline and online content, but really....

Did any of you know that you can customize certain guns with more than one enhancement in MGS4? I never knew that until last night. With the Drebin points, you can add a silencer, grip, and red dot on certain guns at the same time. So clearly that alone makes MGS4 the top game. It's the best game for PS3 right now!!!!!

Another thing, you can grab enemies ala CQC and slit throats. Come on man. MGS4 is where it's at.

COD4, nothing against the game because I'll always have time for my clan and buddies in the game but it was only a matter of time til one game came along and knocked COD4 off the top play list. MGS4 is that game!!!

Singleplayer: MGS4 by a mile

Multiplayer: COD4, haven't really tried MGO much yet.

Overall: MGS4

MGS4 is absolutely incredible. It's taken #1 spot on my personal top 10. But those two games are really different, so it's hard to compare them :s

That's a good reason... oh I mean it would be a good reason if it weren't for the fact that MGS4, just like COD4, has a multiplayer option. But you wouldn't know that, would you.

actually I know how. I used to think the same way, until Jak X came out....God it was ever so freaking fun.
