I second this statement.
Third.
i have a few question too
1. which one is longer and how many hours did you spend on it
2. which one is more fun
3. for orange box, do you have to play half life 1 to understand the rest
4. how is assassins creed repetetive
fkbwii
I'll answer #4 for you real quickly. It is one of the most repetitive games I can remember next to Harvest Moon...which was honestly more fun for me. You go to one part of the city, save some civilians, pick-pocket someone, rough someone up, over hear someone's conversation, and then go kill a main bad guy. You do this like 9 times though!!! The worst part is that it never changes other than the main execution.

Eleventy twelvthI own all 3 of those games here my opinion
Uncharted>Orange box>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Asassins Creed
Uncharted is great because it has fantasic gameplay, graphics and it fun. But the downside it short 8-10 hours.
OB has 20+hours worth of gameplay and it has onine play. Also portal is one hell of a good game. Unfortuanately the graphics are outdated, framerate has problems at tiems and laod times are kinda long. Also i dont really find TF2 any good it very boring for me.
Assassins Creed has great visuals but it gets very repetative, glitchy.
overall uncharted
Because its awesome and I play the orange box on my PC so i dont even think about itI don't know why these people love Uncharted so much...
I vote Orange Box.

Uncharted is fantastic, I havent played Assassin's Creed, not my thing.
However, do NOT buy Orange Box. Its the the most overrated thing to come out since I have been on gamespot. (2003)
The core of the box is a 4 year old PC port, Half-Life 2. That game in itself is extremely overrated, just because Half-Life 1 was a truly groundbreaking FPS. Half-Life 2 is not. The game is old, its biggest asset is the Havok physics engine, and thats used in tons of games theses days. The problem is that Half Life 2 just isnt much fun. Its not all that great of a FPS, the action is very dull, the AI is plain dumb, and the weapons are average at best. The game got all its props from the use of environmental physics and physics based weapons, that may have been something new 4 years ago, but now its just tired and overused.
Add in the 2 expansions, that are basically just more of the same, with hardly any graphical or AI improvement over HL2 and you may get close to 20 hours out of it. Then you throw in Team Fortress 2, and thats just a lemon. Its a multiplayer only online game, and although its fairly well balanced, it feels really dated compared to current online FPS games. Actually, every online FPS on the PS3 is better then TF2.... RFOM, Warhawk, R6V, R6V2, and COD4 blow TF2 away.
Then you have Portal, and its not a bad game at all, its actually kinna fun, but it feels more like a tech demo sometimes then a puzzle game, and can be finished in under 3 hours.
So do you want to pay 60 bucks and get only one game that worth playing, and its only 3 hours long?
I'd think not.
Anyway, dont buy Orange Box.
/rant off.
Not sure where you live, but if you have Target around you.
I know that The Orange Box is marked down to 29.99 BRAND new. If your looking to pay 60 bucks for a game, I would say get TOB for 30 dollars, then look for a Brand/Used (whatever you want, it's up to you) and Get Uncharted.
That way you could have 2 awesome games to play. It's up to you, but I wanted to give my two cents into this topic.
i have all those games and i really don't enjoy orange box (maybe because i was used to the pc version which is much more playable because of the mouse/keyboard).Though you got allot of game for that price.
Uncharted is great , great graphics , good controls ,enough variety (shooting/platforming and the vehicle stuff) but it is really short.
Assassin's creed is also a good game , great graphics , good controls , longer than Uncharted but it has less variety.
I recommend Uncharted overall , but if you can rent the games or play at a friend , try them first before making a decision.
uncharted is great, but enough with the AC panning, its a pioneering game that does get repetitive, but that doesn't mean you can't quickly churn through it then sell it on ebay to some chump
WELL THIS IS THE BEST BREAKDOWN>
Orange box most for ur money and u get Portal which is great
Assassins Creed is a great game with a great story. Decent length can be a long game if you choose it to be.
Uncharted is a classic game, great story, great adventure, is short but great for someone that has a full time and just wants to catch up on gaming.
I would sayyyy
Uncharted,
Leave Assassins for when it comes down to platinum price... coz it will happen, we all know it. Plus its repetitive, sure it was revolutionary in its free running. But the gameplay itself is a tad on the boring side.
Annnndddd leave Orange box for the pc, i mean come-on..... Half life 2, team fortress, portal? these are games that should be experienced with a bowed back, uncomfortably raised arms, and a computer monitor 3 inches from your face. In other words, leave it for the pc :)
For myself I would get all three. Of course get uncharted first then the orange box and then head to your local game or gamespot (if your in america) and pick up Assassins Creed second hand or pre owned.
The reason why i am saying pick up assassins is because well some times your just in the mood to go and do a tiny bit of freerunning and jumping at the gaurd with your hidden blade aimed to his throat. However the game is a bit glitchy and it is alright in small doeses. Hell I know someone who said they would rather play AC over the new POP game
