Which game should I get I'm new to PS3

I know there are probably Thousands of topic just like this but I'm lost. I'm getting a PS3 ether today or tommorow and was wondering what games I should get for it. Please don't say MGS4 cause I'm not a big fan of the series. Not saying it's bad just not for me. So what game should I get.

uncharted, infamous and fat princess comes out tomorrow on the ps store. Oh and killzone 2

you should get lair and heavenly sword, they are cheap now so you can buy both, they are old but quick to beat, and when you beat them take um back and buy uncharted but its quick to beat also but amazing story and best voice acting ever!

if you want lasting power get Killzone of course, or LBP if you like to create things or play other peoples created platform levels.

btw. they patched the controls on lair so its not all sixaxis like before, very enjoyable game now id give it probably a 8/10 now. 5/10 back before the update.

and by the way since your new to ps3, i'll tell you now to create a couple accounts on your ps3 and set them to different regions of the world. you need 1 US 1 Hong Kong 1 Japan account.

with those 3 regions you can get any game any where any time. and even play demo's that they dont release in the US.. for example lair is on hong kongs PSN, hong kong is all english too.

im getting my ps3 this weekend also, and the 1st game ima buy is MGS4, its a good game and great series i never met a person who isnt a fan

if u dont like metal gear solid series then ther is something wrong with u, how can u not like the best reviewed series of all time? like every site gave it a 9 or a 10, if u like baseball games, then u shud defffff get MLB 09 the show, its a ps3 exclusive and i think is the best sports game ever

I will add that Socom is a good game and if you get the bundle it also comes with a headset that works very nicely. I think the price is still at what it was at release (you can shop around and might find a deal somewhere). I have the bundle and the headset is very comfortable and the battery does last a long time when compared to my other headset.

Well here are my favourites - Bioshock , Dead Space , Prototype , Resident Evil 5 , FEAR 2 , Infamous , MGS4 , Killzone 2 , GTA IV and Fallout 3

I would recommend either Killzone 2, Little Big Planet (only if you have friends to play it with) and inFAMOUS (though it probably wont last you more then a month)

Oh, and Metal Gear Solid 4, oops.

killzone 2 is a good choice

MGS 4(greatest game of all-time), uncharted, infamous, and killzone 2 are my fave ps3 games. LBP ain't bad wither i guess
