I went to gamecrazy in Tempe Arizona. I put down $50, they had the ps3 pre-order in the computer, so they took my preorder. I wanted to get a second ps3, but didn't want to prepay for it at the same place (just in case they don't get enough, I'm sure they won't sell me 2). I went to another game crazy and wanted to prepay. They said they are not taking pre-orders???Â
I don't know why one about 3 blocks away was taking them, but they wouldn't, so I would look around and find one that does. The one I went to definatly had it in the system. My receipt says clearly - ps3 preorder, he even put my place in line and signed it. I'm number 15, not as high as I want, but it should do.
Avoid gamestop like the plague though. I pre-paid for my 360 in June and they haven't received my 360 yet. I ended up waiting at best buy 2 weeks after launch and picked one up. I left my prepay with gamestop (I just paid the $50 to hold it) to see how long they would take. they are telling me march and it will be here!!! When I went to gamecrazy, I asked them if they had received so few. They said all their preorders where filled and they said they have one in the back if I want to buy one! I don't know why gamestop can't fill their orders, don't get screwed, avoid them!!!!!!
