Out of the games that I have listed which will lose value quicker when entering 2012 or after the first few months? Because I know red dead redemption took forever to go down in price. Almost a year. And I still haven't picked it up. Modern Warfare 2 is also still up in price and it's been out for two years.

I am asking for cash value. So lets say if home front comes out in 7 days, how soon do you think it will take for it to drop in price. 4 months, 6 months 8 month etc...
I have found that some games drop in cash value quicker than some. (Supply & Demand: Equilibrium) I am asking because I might hold off on home front or yakuza to see if they will drop some before next year.

Killzone 3

Spec Ops

Dead Island

Homefront

Yakuza 4

Socom 4

Battlefield 3

Call of Juarez: The Cartel

Uncharted 3

Resistance 3

The Guardian

Saints Row 3

Mortal Kombat

LA NOIRE

Infamous 2

I have actually bought homefront and yakuza 3. haven't tried 4 yet. bouth enslaved as well. Enslaved only took about 3 to 4 months to drop to 19.99 new at gamestop.

All EA sports games that get a new release every year, for sure. Everything else is a guess.

The exclusives, Battlefield 3 and LA Noire will take a long time to go down in price. Everything else will drop at least a third within 6-12 months.

actually ea games such as maddend and nba 2k tend to stay higher for longer periods of time. At least 9 months like before annoncing the nextt installment they would drop 20 bucks

i know killzone 3 is already slowly going down but not by much, the special edition with the head went from 99£ to 45£ which i think was a nice deal this is at HMV UK. i also suspect dead island will go down within the first 2-4 months, although youre talking about america so i doubt it will be the same there.

exclusives tend to take a lot longer to go down the price. little big planet 2 and gt5 are still $60 at retail and those games came out about 3-4 months ago.

I don't think exclusives take a lot longer to drop in price.

Where I live LBP dropped to €40 pretty quick. Maybe it just depends where you live.

There is almost zero point buying any games on launch anymore!I bought Dead Space 2 at launch for £40, two weeks after it was £25! (Now £20) Killzone 3 dropped from £40 to £20 three weeks after launch and the Helghast Edition dropped from £100 to £40! (I bought it for £40 and regretted it alot, feel very bad for those that paid 100 notes for that tat..) Same exact things have happened with LBP2 (That died quickly didn't it?). I only buy the games i really want at launch now.

LBP2 is still very much alive. But yeah I just traded out my copy of KZ3 for 38 bucks. Ended up making 5 dollars on it too and I got a ton of fun out of it.

Homefront should drop by July-August to $50ish. I would assume out of all those games though that Yakuza 4 would drop quicker than the rest. I could see it dropping $10 within 2-3 months.
