haven't tried mag but i love bad company 2, i wanna try mag but a friend told me alotta times people team kill you on purpose if they get mad at you or kick you out the game if your new to it, said no one gives you a chance to get used to the game cause everyone expects perfection, idk but thats jus what someone told me, i'm not looking to start anything
if you took out the 256 players MAG would be generic as it comes......MAG is unique; bc2 is like every other fps
Stowik
you cant get kicked from a game in BFBC2 unless you team kill like 8 times but the server does it not other people..... and I just dont get how people complain about TKing all the time, as it seems when i get killed its on accident..... but yea what your friend said is totally false haha, no one expects anything , its totally noob friendly.haven't tried mag but i love bad company 2, i wanna try mag but a friend told me alotta times people team kill you on purpose if they get mad at you or kick you out the game if your new to it, said no one gives you a chance to get used to the game cause everyone expects perfection, idk but thats jus what someone told me, i'm not looking to start anything

Too bad the game is BUILT around the 256 player count, so it's not generic at all.
Seriously, this argument is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. If you took out Perks in CoD, it's be as generic as any other shooter. Took out Destructible environments in Bad Company, it's be a generic shooter. Good thing MAG, CoD, and Bad Company aren't generic shooters.

what do you mean built around? THATS OBVIOUS,,, but like I said if you took out the 256 players it would be generic as it comes, the animations from going to hipfire to scope are crap, the guns feel like bb guns and they sound like youre shooting a cap gun.
and please dont tell me that the three Factions Raven, Valor and SVER arent generic....
all MAG has is the decent skill tree and 256 players and thats it..... if you took those out and kept gameplay it, would be no different than any other bottom of the barrel FPS, the games decent and it runs 256 players very well but its generic as they come.
[QUOTE="brownpriderider"]What bad company 2 have you been playing? People team kill all the time in HC games of BC2. I know because I have fallen victim to it. haha yea i think it comes down to luck, cause i just randomly get ran over and thats it.i'm referring to mag not bad company 2, i play bad company 2 i know theres no team killing in that

Take away MAG's massive player count and it would be generic. Fortunatly for MAG, it DOES have it's massive player count, so it's not really a discussion. That's my point.
As far as animations are concerned, I would love to see Bad Company or Call of Duty preform all the animation they have with 256 players in the game. Hell, 16 players alone are enough to lag the servers, not to mention 256 players going at it at once while trying to attain minimal-no lag.
While Valor are your standard Marines, Raven are your standard "SWAT soldiers from the near future", I can easily say I have never seen SVER's concept from any shooter before. Name another online FPS where you play as a middle-east terrorist faction, that wear hockey masks?
I own them both just got MAG the other day and i was kind of disapointed by MAG. It is a step backward IMO. Although it is fun it just isn't unique and the graphics are last gen. The guns feel funny and the gimmick of only being able to join 1 faction is kind of lame as well considering they all have the same guns etc. BFBC 2 is by far better than MAG.
MAG is great, I'm sure Bad Company 2 is amazing though. I was in the first PS3 beta for it, great demo/beta btw.

so what you're saying is that if you take out what makes a game unique it's not unique anymore? it's like saying if you took out takedowns and the crash mechanics in Burnout it's just a generic racing game, your argument completely fails.Dude, you said you just got the game the other day. That in turn tells me you have no idea of the game mechanics or probably no idea of how to work the skill tree to your favor. Also I was like you during my first outings in the beta, deleted it never to try it again. But my friend talked me into getting the retail version, and once I got to level 8 and got into the domination game modes, the game showed its true glory. Also at about level 14 I started to realise the game mechanics and then it just seemed genious to me. Today when playing you can tell the noobs that run for the water towels non stop, all the while a bunker is just resupplying enemy troops taking it right back. One needs to stop and think that maybe we need to take down the bunkers first then the towels will fall easily. Not to mention noobs calling in air strikes 100 times, not stopping to think that the AA's are still up lol. There is alot to MAG, alot more team work and alot more direction is needed as a team than any other game out there. Not to mention the sure fast paced all out action going on. Its truly a blast to play especially with a good group of friends and clan members.I own them both just got MAG the other day and i was kind of disapointed by MAG. It is a step backward IMO. I would say that MAG is only average and while Bad Company 2 is above average I've never been so burnt out on a game so quickly as I was Bad Company 2. I'll probably never play it again. I unlocked everything in the game within 48 hours of the game being out.

THere are no game mechanics everything in this game has been done before and done better the only selling point is the 256 player battles PERIOD. and I hit level 20 the other day and i can tell u it does NOT get any better....

I second this. I hardly see what is so unique about it, especially given the fact that you have been able to play with 256+ players online on a PC for quite a while now.
My vote goes to Bad Company 2. I think it is more enjoyable than both MAG and the ungodly mess that is Modern Warfare 2's multiplayer.
I have never played MAG but I am slowly thinking that I should give it a try. BC2 is a great game but as of late has been starting to kinda annoy me community wise.GrandJurySame here. BFBC's destructability doesn't intrigue me any more. Maybe in BFBC1, but now it's just gimmicky. Some of you guys might be thinking, "WTF?!" It's true for me. I kinda like the fact that you can't blow through walls in COD:MW. After playing BFBC for a while, I'd like to try something new and exclusive (in this case), which is MAG. I'm kinda waiting for the bargain bin, but I'm still researching and I'm not sure if it's a worthy buy. I know it's a huge MP game.. with 256 players but are the visuals/graphics that bad????
Edit: For my standards, I guess it is..

What game out there that keeps troops from paratrooping in when the AA's are up and running for the enemy? What game out there allows OIC to talk to the platoon leader, and platoon leader to talk to his squad leaders? What game out there give certain leadership commands to squad leaders, certain ones for squad leaders, certain ones for platoon leaders, and certain ones for the OIC? What game out there with 256 players that as a squad you feel it was yalls very own part that won the battle? What game out there, makes you hate a faction in a fps and not a individual? What game out there that when your not even playing your faction is still out there fighting that has a overall outcome on an overall war?Dude, what other game out there that gives the freedom to make a decision during a battle that finally helps push for the win? My squad had opened up the final objectives prior to every other platoon out there. We then took the apc's and went around behind the enemy to take out their AA's that inturn allowed the other platoons to fight through and open up there final objectives. And we ended up winning the match with 5 min's left on the clock, while attacking SVER's home base. Dude I've played alot of games, but I have yet to play one that gave me that kind of feeling after making that kind of team/ faction oriented decision.
All of this wouldn't be possible if we hadn't worked as a team and a squad acting as one.
nd who de **** r yuh to close the case mag is betta so shut up i bet yuh havent even play italright heres the final verdict battle feild is better than mag because mag has online better but crappy graphics. case closed!!!

Use spell check and instead of posting 5 times in a row when no one even responded to your posts, try to edit them into one post. What you're doing is called spam. I realize you're a new user though. But for me BC2 seems alot better. And it's funny because 1 or 2 days ago everyone was praising BC2 and bashing MAG and now it's the opposite. Anyway, BC2 looks and plays alot better than MAG. Plus there's more value to it and I think the community is alot stronger in Bad Company 2.I personally prefer MAG but both games are fun.
Once you find good clan in MAG, the game becomes strategic where teamwork wins above all else.
Until then you might have hard time getting use to the large scale and little to no communication from average run and gun players in your squad. ;)
