For me best racing series are simulation ones like gran turismo and forza or dirt. for nfs in this generation i think hot pursuit 2 was the best one, but High Stakes was the best nfs ever.red-rayShoot the original NFS hot pursuit was the best one ever! A lot of people enjoyed NFS shift which is pretty cheap now NFS HP2 is not a bad game at all lots of fun but more restricting than i thought but it has lots of replay value with autolog
yeah the first NFS hot pursuit was the best. when i got the second one, i couldnt believe that you couldnt just run from the cops with a friend split screen. i think that was such a stupid decision to not include splitscreen with this game.
For the PS3, I would definitley reccomend NFS: Hot Pursuit (the newest one). It's really fun, plus Autolog's a pretty cool feature.
if you mean best EVER, then for me it's NFS: Underground 2 and NFS: Most Wanted all others are inferior IMO, and the latest Hot Pursuit is basically a **** version of Burnout with licensed cars:o
Hot Pursuit 2= If you want an arcade type racer thats fun and cool crashes
GT5= If you want more of a simulation type game with lots to do and plenty of cars but probably a big learning curve
I answered your other thread too, but I would say my fav NFS game would be "NFS: Shift" which is a strongly-leaning sim game with arcade trappings. It can be played as either type (arcade or sim).
[QUOTE="MonkeySpot"]still anyone plays online on nfs shift?I answered your other thread too, but I would say my fav NFS game would be "NFS: Shift" which is a strongly-leaning sim game with arcade trappings. It can be played as either type (arcade or sim).

Oh, I'm pretty sure they do. It's been awhile sice I got online with the game because I tend to buy driving games for the solo experience, but the game was very popular and I had friends from all over the world on my friends list who played. With the new one announced, I'm sure there's still people racing. Let me know if you buy it, I'll fire it up and at least the two of us can play...
:D
It's a good racer. Fairly different from others in the NFS family, but one arcade and sim fans can find some even ground on.
Well for me it goes like this.
Best Racer: Gran Turismo 3: A-spec
Best Sim Racer: Gran Turismo 3: A-spec
Best Arcade Racer: Burnout Paradise
Best NFS title: Hot Pursuit 2 (PS2)

"Pursuit" is partially about the chase as apposed to finding the correct line around a circuit, racing other cars, getting into the lead in order to win... "Pursuit" borders on a car-combat game in ways (taking down a perp as the cops, pit-maneuvres and crashing the opponent being the focus). Not that there isn't racing in the game, but "Shift" is more about the traditional tennants of motorsport.
Yes! Underground 2 was the best NFS, ever. I wish they would make the next NFS similar to it. I like the new Hot Pursuit, but I like the racing through cities better. I was also miss customization, and fun free roam.if you mean best EVER, then for me it's NFS: Underground 2 and NFS: Most Wanted all others are inferior IMO, and the latest Hot Pursuit is basically a **** version of Burnout with licensed cars:o

Well out of the ones available for PS3 (I haven't played Hot Pursuit yet, so I'm not including that) I'd say ProStreet. Most people hated it, but I loved it.

If you liked Underground 2, you should look into Midnight Club: LA.
Gran Turismo 5 is a great racing game but is more 'realistic' in actual racing and stuff. so if you want face pasted action that isnt probaly the best racing game, hot pursuit is best nfs game
i like shift...its pretty good...but most wanted is probably the best...tho it does have its problems
