I've only played legends, but according to gamespot, legends is the better one. It is complety worth the 20$ if you are looking for a fun aracde racer.
I've played both - Dominator has the better sound track and the "super boost" (forgot what it's called) function but Legends has the crash mode. I reviewed Dominator and classified it as "best in series" and on the whole I think I stand by that. However if you want the crash mode it has to be Legends.
yeah i also saw the rating on both game but the thing is legend came out2 years before dominator, so whats a superb 2 years prior, may just be a great 2 years after, which is what dominator is, so i was wondering for someone who played it, at this time, which one is better.
Unlike most of the people who posted in front of me (excluding sadpspaddict), i've played both games and i can tell you dominator is better. It has way better track design and a lot more variety in modes (like a 2 to 1 ratio, i cant list them off the top of my head). Legends got repetitive really fast, it had way too many speed lap and takedown events, not that those type of events are bad or anything but it had wayyyy too many of them. Sure legends has crash mode but it isn't much of concession. Dominator has better boost system that balances the game a lot better than the one used in legends (i would explain it to you but it would take up too much time). As a racing game fan, i can tell you that Burnout Dominator is a more well rounded and enjoyable game than legends. Trust me.
