Final boss fight in Tomb Raider Anniversary, I raged so man times (that is where my username comes from) that I just YouTubed the ending and went on to Legend.
A certain part in Shadows of the Damned.
Some part where you're shooting these big monsters from all parts of buildings, and they come in segments. I dunno how many, but I got to the 4th batch and they were coming out from everywhere fast, and the controls (yes, I blame the controls) were just annoying at this pace. Made me rage and never will I put the disc in again.

I think you mean the final boss in legend, the final boss in annversary was much easier than the one in legend imo. Another game that makes me ragequit a lot is demon's souls especially when I make it through a whole level just to die at the boss...several times.
Nothing to the extent I would quit the game entirely. I have had to turn the console off and take a long walk.
I am a huge fan of Ico and enjoy completing speed runs on different paths. Yorda really gets on my nerves when I require her to listen and respond to my calls. She would much rather mosey around in circles.
The Manny Flip Manny on the slate trick in Skate 3 bothered the heck out of me. It took me almost an hour to hit it.
I absolutely hated the motorcycle mechanics in that game, a little tap and you would be flying off somewhere.Roxas658
I found all the vehicles handled wonderfully. Different strokes :P
God of war, challenge of olympus...
hate those hahahaha
if i really get frustrated i usually turn the ps3 off and then pick it up a couple of days after or whatever
but with the challenge of olympus i just smacked the joystick a couple of times, thing i never do
also some levels in killzone 3 when i play it on the hardest level, i just died without even knowing
anyways, im a casual gamer, so i get frustrated every now and then....
Algol in Tower of Lost Souls in SoulCalibur 4. Took me a month to beat him and every time I lost I felt like wrecking the controller.
The only game that made me do that is DMC3 on Dante Must Die difficulty. I did many horrible things while I was playing that, including breaking my controller. Thankfully it never happened again.
I've had a couple but the most noteworthy one is the mission in GTA 4 where you had to dress up as another guy and chase after somebody on a motorcycle (I think it was called "I'll take your bike, clothes... Something along those lines). I absolutely hated the motorcycle mechanics in that game, a little tap and you would be flying off somewhere. That mission made me so annoyed that I didn't play the game for months. Anybody else have that one level which prevented you playing a game for a while?Roxas658
Chapter 4 in Resonance of Fate where you have to escort this statue while fighting enemies. I was having enough trouble grasping the combat as is, and to throw and escort mission on top of that where they active try and destroy the statue was just too much for me. I failed it twice and stopped playing and haven't played it since.Texas2089
Wha? Its an RPG, all you need to do is level up and then you can get past anything.
I very rarely rage quit because I have a thing where I MUST complete the level I'm stuck on, hmmmmm... NFS The Run, towards the end there was this one guy that I just couldn't get past and after trying at least 20 or so times on this race, I just went crazy! Managed to do it the day after though xD

That game isn't all about levels. Its more about using strategy and the game does you no favors in explaining how things work so it just didn't click with me. The game just wasn't fun, so grinding wasn't really an option. Not that would have done a terrible amount of good anyway, because if you don't grasp the combat to begin with levels don't really matter. The last race in need for speed hot poursuit,it was like 15 min long, and at the end of race the rubberband effect make the ai cars go like 500km, you could go in the first position the whole race and still not win, i restarted the race like 5 times before i stopped
Pretty much any level in the Sly trilogy that involved a character other than Sly or a mini game was designed horribly and was sloppily slapped in there just to make some kind of variety. They should have stuck with Sly's platforming mechanics and levels. They were exceptional. Sly 2 was the most guilty of this problem... I often quit on these kinds of missions because of poor design. Unfortunately they took up about 60% of the three games.
I'll take your bike, clothes... Something along those lines. Roxas658
I remember doing that mission in GTA IV. It's called "I need your clothes, your boots, and your motorcycle." It's also a line from one of the greatest movies ever, T2: Judgement Day.
I don't rage quit games too often anymore but I did while trying to complete the Challenge Of The Gods/Titans in the God Of War HD Collection.
Not a level, but disgaea 3 really really wore on me with it's unfunny jokes and boing story, which made the boring grindplay all the more tedious.
I quit around chapter 2,3.
Darksiders - Going after the "Aerial Predator" trophy. Each time I try, I end up with 150+ but never enough. One time I was four short. I ended up ejecting the disc, spitting on it, placing it back in the case and chucking the case behind my bed... I don't have anger issues. :P

I got that trophy. Was a tough one!
Demon Souls - Shrine of Storms world 4-2. The part where you walk along the cliffs and the rolling skeletons zerg you. Afterwards there are those annoying ghosts and orbs that shoot beams for a ton of damage, all while walking on a small path along a ravine. I did eventually finish it but it was seriously HARD. REALLY HARD.
Also Mightnight Club 1 on the ps2. The London time trial to unlock the police car set. It's probably one of the most unforgiving levels in videogame history and I never beat it. I tried it for days, and even years later I tried it again and again. (I did get the New York time trial)

That chapter in the first Uncharted where you are in that room with all that shallow water on crushing. Died dozens of times on that and never beat it. Vanillamarble
I'm playing on Crushing now and boy is it rough. I'm on Chapter 14 now. Must. Keep. Pushing. Through...
Btw, there's a glitch for the water room you're talking about. If you run back to the turret and then over to room again, the enemies will have spawned already so you don't actually have to enter the room to start fighting them. That's how I got through it. It's on YouTube too if you wanna check it out.

Tell me about it. Took me a lot of tries to get that one.Final boss in Dead Space 2. I couldn't beat her because I was so low on ammo every time the fight started and by the time I got enough ammo I always got overwhelmed by those little guys. So I decided to put the game aside and beat it later. That was many months ago. I still haven't beat it. >_>kweeni
How do you think I felt playing it on Hardcore? Probably one of the most nerve-racking experiences I've had in gaming. The whole time I was saying to myself "Please don't die, please don't die..." :P
She's not hard if you ignore her and focus on the Marker. Use the Alt-fire on the Contact Beam or the primary on the Force Gun for AOE, then shoot the Marker with either the Plasma Cutter or the Pulse Rifle. Awesome game, but it definitely had its hard spots.
I've never rage quit anything permanently, just got so bored and disgusted with it I quit.
Star Wars The Force Unleashed. Didn't really care for that game at all, and when I got to the last boss fight, which seem based on luck as much as skill, after getting killed about 15 times I said heck with it. I just don't care.
Turok. Terrible game. Made it about halfway through and got killed several times, trying to kill 2 guys who I was behind for chrissakes. Everything about that game was a joke, I should have quit a lot sooner than I did.
Challenge 6 on Vanquish was very hard, I did eventually beat it though. MoHF, the whole game on hard is just a pile of **** and completely broken and unfair, but I still managed to beat it. However, WaW on veteran was the single most frustrating thing I've ever played and I attempted a few levels and never bothered with it again.
Prototype-I almost quit at the boss of the game.
Resonance of Fate-boss fights in this game are brutal, they are 2x higher level than you even if you grind alot, it wasnt a rage quit as much as an admission of defeat.
Valkria Chronicles-got about 3/4ths the way through (I assume) i think it was the main antagonist lady ontop of a wall shooting at me, and i couldnt figure out how to get to her, so i just gave up. (This game desperately needs a fast forward button, and a mid-battle save system) also not really a "rage quit". Just gave up.
Mortal Kombat-Shao Kaun, enough said, this was the epitome of a rage quit.
